Texas is better for a lot of things so far, but never fear it is going crazy too.
One wonders if, in our Internet connected age, this isn’t the beginning of the end of NY-based finance companies fleeing for more affordable... and more commerce friendly... pastures? Big Finance always stayed with NYC because they felt they had no other choice but to centralize talent. But with the decentralized nature of modern business and communications....
Liberals are concentrated in big blue population centers. As they move to flyover or red areas, they will dilute and polute.
There are many reasons but the two major ones that come to mind are 1) it's simply not cost-effective to move; and 2) lack of access to a trained specialized workforce.
The M@$$holes ( as they are called ) did it to New Hampshire as well! This maybe part of the problem that Savage denotes that liberalism is a mental disorder. Seriously to quote the late Harry Chapan “You can move 10,000 miles and still stay where you are”. Liberals do not get the cause and effect of taxes and step back look of the overall landscape of their Utopian Schemes...

Liberals from other countries do it, too. I have an in-law who’s a nurse who moved here and is all for obamacare. Of course, it could be because he’s a henpecked pussy.
One of the reasons companies, especially national companies stay in NYC is because their higher echelons of executives are relatively insulated from the ordinary costs because they make so much money.
So they and their wives can go to the high=end restaurants and entertainment venues they love.
