A soldier from Corona is fighting for his life following an attack by six men outside a bar in Tacoma, Washington.
Korry McClanahan, 25, is in ICU at the Madigan Army Medical Center and unresponsive, says his family. Hes not speaking or moving.
His mother is even unsure if he knows she is there.
Last Friday, McClanahan and another soldier went to the Steel Creek American Whiskey Company in downtown Tacoma to shoot some pool.
Around midnight, the two men went outside to smoke
... McClanahan was punched twice, fell to the ground and hit his head. He spent more than 17 hours in surgery to stem a brain injury.
Crystal Cruz, reporting for CBS2, spoke to McClanahans distraught grandparents.
Hes just an all-American boy, what can I say, said his grandfather, Jim Wilson.
Over Memorial Day weekend, McClanahans grandparents, who helped raise him in Corona, got a phone call saying something bad happened to their grandson.
I cant imagine how they can beat him up like they did an just go and leave him for dead, said Carolyn Wilson, his grandmother.

Not sure about that but I suspect Albanians......maybe they're Russian thugs, I don't know.
But this isn't the first account of Albanians being involved in murders in California
Tried as I might, I couldn't find any such actual events happening.
There's lots of internet rumors of such events happening but I'll be darned if I could substantiate any of them........
Can ya help us out here?
It is. A long road ahead for him.
I hope they find these cretins.
I have no doubt some are looking.
Doesn’t matter. Thugs. Could not care less the color of their skin. They are scum and animals, and they should be treated as such. Namely hunted and put down like any other rabid animal.
While still a little fresh from training, I saw a few former enlisted Russian soldiers in a repair garage (easy for us to tell sometimes). At least some of the enlisted type Russians still hate American soldiers. There was propaganda around them in the past, I reckon. At least some of the former Russian officers, not so much. They acted almost friendly. Yeah, there are gangs. And they’ve been a problem in several countries.
Hope there is video.
And the soldiers friends get leave this weekend.

I must be a rare breed. When I was in the Army I did not go to bars off base. I hardly never went to the enlisted men’s clubs or even the NCO clubs on base. I was not a drinker and thus did not hang out at the clubs or bars. I would be one of the few in the barracks on weekends while all the other guys were hitting the bars and clubs. I can remember many time on weekends being almost the only one in the barracks because I did not go clubbing or bar hopping. When I made sergeant, I often had to pull nightly duty or weekend duty at the company orderly room. They called it CQ or charge of quarters. I cannot count the times I had to deal with the drunks when they came into the barracks after a night of boozing. I was glad I was not a drinker.
This story reminds me a bit of the older veteran (WWII? Korea?) who went to the VFW in Seattle or maybe it was Portland and got beat up, indeed, the old timer got killed.
Sad.
PROP 901 claims another victim. All of those who voted for it wanted this man to get beat up or killed because he is a smoker. You can not convince me otherwise.
>CQ< what a thankless job!
The Zoot Suit riot really happened in LA during WWII. I believe it was the sailors vs. the Chicanos and got pretty bloody.
