We need a Governor to head the ticket, then maybe Carson at VP.

ABC! (Anybody but Christie!) I hope Perry can recover from his gaffs. But Cruz is so solid. He gets it, ie, he gets what Conservatism and America is all about. And he has a pair of brass ones, and is so smart and articulate.

One thing no one seems to mention - Cain’s wife did not seem to be behind the run for Pres. It sure is easier to run if your wife if behind you 100%.

I think Cain himself was surprised he’d done so well in his run - didn’t think he’d get so far as to have women coming out of the woodwork. Terribly unfortunate because he is my absolute first choice (I love the thought of a proven business man running this country) but I don’t see how he could run now or really have any high position in government, media would eat him up and chew him out because of the probable affairs (it was okay with Clinton and who all else but would not be for Cain).

ABC! I agree but governors do not have votes to defend. Cruz is a good man but will be tarred with shutting down the government.

"I like Dr. Ben. But he has NO chance since he has not held any elective office."

I agree I am glad he is on our side. He is a good spokesman.

I agree, he bailed out on the sexual harrassment charges-especially that last one. I couldn’t help feel that at the end, they did find someone who could prove the charges against him.

I won’t waste a vote on him again...I am really tired of rooting for candidates only to have them bail out, don’t use opportunities to ‘win debates”, and then at the end when news comes out about voter fraud, give in and don’t fight further. Romney did this with Obama, Romney was winning, kicking butt, then he missed the opportunity with the Candy Crowley and terrorism incident. Then at the end, when he was winning, then suddenly votes out of no where flooded in, he lost and just walked away. He threw that candidacy, I am sure of it....

He can do whatever he likes, but I won’t support him unless he is the nominee.

Cruz is a good man but will be tarred with shutting down the government.

That is a badge of honor, and will rally the troops.

Novelty and Cain aside, is 9-9-9 a better idea for taxation than the one we currently have?

I still reflect on that period at times (around April 15th) and wonder why 9-9-9, the answer to our tax policy problems, didn't survive past Cain's presidential aspirations?

Alas, we must allow for the low information voters. Government go away; bad.

Why, because we need to have a black man run to show we conservatives are not racists?

I like both these men, but would someone explain what is wrong with Cruz?

He then suggested he would do it if he were called by God.

I thought God was calling Ben Carson? Link
