We know youre busy. And were quite certain you care deeply about the future of our country.
We care, too. We care about your communities, your families, and how Washingtons decisions are going to impact you.
More and more people are grabbing bites of news from mobile devices on the go and they need a place where they can find digestible, trusted news on the most important policy debate of the day.
Thats why the Heritage Foundation team created a digital-first, multimedia news platform called The Daily Signal.
The Daily Signal provides policy and political news as well as conservative commentary and policy analysis in a fresh, visually rich, readable format for your desktop, tablet or phone.
We are committed to news coverage that is accurate, fair and trustworthy. As we surveyed the media landscape, it became clear to us that the need for honest, thorough, responsible reporting has never been more critical. Thats a challenge in todays fast-moving world. And its a challenge were willing to accept.
We are dedicated to developing a news outlet that cuts straight to the heart of key political and policy arguments not spin reported as news.
The Daily Signal is supported by the resources and intellectual firepower of The Heritage Foundation a dedicated team of experienced journalists to cover the news and more than 100 policy experts who can quickly help put issues in perspective. We believe this combination of news, commentary and policy analysis will establish The Daily Signal as a trusted source on Americas most important issues.
We believe that high-quality, credible news reporting on political and policy issues is of paramount importance to an informed and free society. This is a reflection of that Jeffersonian notion that the greatest defense of liberty is an informed citizenry.
Well then I said it......
So Heritage Foundation has started a freerepublic type site, oh fun, let’s follow the GOP around by our collective noses.
I hope they try to become a serious news source and not stray into WND, the Blaze, or Newsmax land where we get bizarre stories, viral videos as news, cryptic click-bait headlines, and a screen full of obnoxious popup ads for survival food or a bunch of other junk.
We need something that can go against HuffPo, which has become an actual news portal for lots of people, and not just a policy wonk outlet.
A near-universal consensus does exist that man-made emissions have some warming effect; however, the controversy is about whether human activity is the primary driver of climate change and the magnitude of climate change induced by GHG emissions. Most importantly, no matter what one believes regarding climate change, one thing is clear: The regulations would not have any noticeable impact on global temperatures.
And we all know that human activity is NOT the primary driver. Well, unless you count the human activity of climate scientists who falsify data to push their ideological agenda. In that case, human activity would indeed be the primary driver.
“Obama is right to say climate change is a fact. A near-universal consensus does exist that manmade emissions have some warming effect; “
Yeah, that was strike one for me. They got 2 more tries.
Free Republic is not a news site with a staff of journalists, but I won’t begrudge you your opinion. Cheers.
Agreed. I’d encourage you to email them or post that to their site or tweet them or whatever method you have available and prefer.
Good news, I hope. Thanks for the heads up. Don’t know the easiest way to follow it. Either Facebook or here if there’s a ping list but it could be overkill for us busy folks. Be nice to get a one-page summary of the most important issues, something like that.
Thanks for posting.
Wapo is really excited about the Daily Signal. /s
Now, after years of Rush Limbaugh pointing out, that the leftists/liberals echo The Daily Fax from The Democrat Party ... comes the Heritage Foundation's Daily Signal, a poor choice of words.
Signal was a propaganda magazine published by the German Wehrmacht from 1940 through 1945. It is also a magazine put out by PBS.

Seriously? Ouch. Someone wasn’t thinking.
