As one of the characters in Anchorman observed of its bloody brawl between news teams: Boy, that escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand fast.
Two days after President Obama broke the law to arrange an insanely reckless swap of five incredibly dangerous Taliban terrorists for captive American Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, virtually every aspect of the deal has blown up in Obamas face, and the whole thing has soured into another five-star scandal for an Administration riddled with them. Maybe its the accumulated weight of Obama fatigue, or the sheer stupidity and arrogance the President displayed in this particular abuse of power, but even people who stood by him through Fast and Furious, Benghazi, and the IRS scandal are asking: What the hell was he thinking? What did the White House think was going to happen here?

Thanks for laying that all out so clearly & damningly. You connected some dots I hadn’t realized were a part of the picture. Now I agree with you. Benghazi scares them cross-eyed. I’m so glad Gowdy & not Issa is in charge. May he get to the absolute bottom of it, & may all the guilty parties pay in full.
"forced to sign non-disclosure agreements" is the new code word for "cover up orchestrated from the top". By definition, ordering government officials or employees after the fact to sign a legal document forbidding them to discuss the events is a cover up. You cannot tell me the details of this guy deserting is a national security secret. And if it was it would be classified, no NDA required. This is all about hiding the truth, plain and simple.
If Nixon did this, he'd have been hounded out of office... oh wait, he was and he never did this much.
Consider this a formal invitation to elaborate on FR.
What is the administration hyping? “We leave no man behind.” They have no problem leaving our veterans behind, they had no problem leaving the Benghazi four behind; what's so freaking special about this guy?
BTW, when I'm on my phone with the itty bitty keyboard, I tend to be rather circumspect in my posts. On the computer, though, it's much easier, and sometimes I'll go back and elaborate.
So how long ‘til they get a reality tv show?
What language do the Taliban speak?
Well DUH! Heard anything about Fast and Furious, Benghazi, and the IRS scandal in the MSM lately?
Obama simply did not want to put pressure on Democrats in Congress to vote for the prisoner exchange because he knew that it would jeopardize the November election and he didn’t want to face the humiliation of being voted against by members of his own party.
It would not have been up for a vote.
You mean that he would only have had to notify Congress of his intention to release Gitmo prisoners? Wouldn’t a prisoner exchange be the same as a treaty, requiring Senate approval?
It’s covered by statute that Congress approved - with the 30 day advance notification proviso.
Good afternoon.
Frankly, I don’t know who is more dangerous, the 5 Taliban terrorists, or the Muslim in the White House.

Wheels all coming off the clown car. Lotta FReepers think this is same old, same old. I have a dream:

Desertgate
Impeach the murdering (Bengazi, Veterans, etc) traitor!
What would Putin do?
LISTEN CAREFULLY... There are NO game changers when it comes to this administration...
NOTHING WILL COME OF THIS! Who is going to hold the administration/Obama accountable?
Obama could declare martial law and that he is a dictator and he would still garner a 40% approval...
In all of the scandals during Bush’s eight years, how many died in them? And how many have died in all of the scandals, so far, during the short time obama has been in office? That list is sure to grow unless he’s impeached AND imprisoned, SOON!
Which traitor are you referring too?
Gives Barky's "Cash for Clunkers" program a new--and far more accurate--meaning.
