White House counselor John Podesta is “fairly confident” that proposed EPA greenhouse gas restrictions can survive scrutiny under the next president — and that Democrats can campaign on the climate change issue in races this year.
“If you’re a climate denier trying to run nationally, I think you’re going to have a very hard road to go getting elected president of the United States,” he said.
“There’s no doubt there’s some states where this is an issue that presents a different set of political challenges, particularly coal-producing states,” he said. “And there’s no doubt that the polluters have come after this rule and they’ll try to attack it and try to knock down that approval rating and they’ll try to put it squarely in the context of the political campaigns that are ongoing in 2014.”
“But I think if anyone who wants to go out and talk about the benefits from this rule, do what the president did, visit a children’s hospital in their home state, I think they’ll find that the politics is such that you can defend taking action here and the public will support that,” he added.

Friends, the Democrats have already subverted the Federal and State Regulatory Commissions like New York Public Service Commission, New York Power Authority, New York State Energy Research and Development, Empire State Development Corporation.
The NYSPC used to be a semi-independent regulatory agency, now it is simply an extension of the Governor’s executive function, just like Eric Holders “Department of Justice” (snicker, snicker) is an extension of the Obama’s lavatory.
There not be any Saturday Night Massacres during the tenure of the Obama/Holder daisy chain.

Podesta is a marxist nutcase, but very shrewd as a strategist. Long time George Soros buttboy. Perhaps the sleaziest Democrat strategist around, but he is dangerous.
Sort of a smaller version of Joseph Goebbels.
He is more like the lefts version of the pope. After a stint in the Clinton White House, he used Soros money to start the Center for American Progress. This is the core think tank that has given us every Democrat policy. They believe true Communism, Alinsky style, works with them in charge. They have hypothesized, theorized, etc and salivated over the fact if they could just tell us rubes how to live, we will reach nirvana and the Democrat party will rule forever. They gloated that when Obama was elected, their part would rule for the next fifty years.
