Sen. Lindsey Graham said on Monday that its time for Republicans to be quiet for a while and wait to see if Democrats are willing to negotiate reducing entitlements in the fiscal cliff negotiations.
Id put revenue on the table only if they do entitlement reform. Heres what I dont hear: I dont hear any Democrat of note saying, Heres what I would do on the entitlement side, Graham said on Fox News. So if I were Republicans, I would be quiet for a while and see what the Democrats put on the table for entitlement reform.
Graham also had tough talk for President Barack Obama, saying that Obama would be in for a rude awakening if Democrats want to raise the debt ceiling.
Here is where the President is going to have a rude awakening: Well get to the end of the year, there will probably be a small deal to get to the end of the year, Graham said.
He continued: [But] I can tell you this: there is a hardening on the Republican side. Were not going to raise the debt ceiling. Were not going to let Obama borrow anymore money or any American Congress borrow anymore money until we fix this country from becoming Greece.
Since Obama has won reelection, his administration has said that since he campaigned on increasing taxes on the wealthiest of Americans, that he has a mandate to do so.
Grahams take: How about manning up, Mr. President, and use your mandate to bring this country together to stop us from becoming Greece?
Therell come a day and its called the debt ceiling debate when Republicans will have leverage to save this country from becoming Greece. I hope were strong enough as a party to seize that moment, Graham said.

Oh, and Lindsey Graham voted AYE every time.
I sure hope that limp wrist gets sent packing. How could South Carolina keep sending this clown to DC?
Be quiet and go to the polls on Tuesday and fire this little jerk.
Hey Linsey, stick your head up your arse, shut up and die.
Sorry Linda, we’re not falling for the suddenly concerned politician act. You bent us over and back again calling us terrorists when you thought the insane asylum was in charge and you were the warden. You’re screwed.

Cotton,
You are bombarding us with Lindsey stories. I have cousins in SC who will crawl over broken lass to vote against him, but I live in the Midwest. There’s not much I can do.
Side note: The IRS targeting scandal seems to have worked. I am in a sensitive position where I hesitate to make political contributions out of fear if an audit. Can’t wait to Go Galt!
I live in MA. There’s not much I can do either, but remind people of his betrayals, and if possible, give his opponents some shoring up before Tuesday. If I’ve changed one South Carolinian vote today that succumbed to Graham’s ad bombardment, then I will have accomplished something.
Graham is an insidious snake, and he’s been portraying himself as a hard-core conservative, changing his positions at will. His actions when he is safely in power, however, show his true character. Demonstrating that has been my intent.
