In Vermont, the rate increases announced Monday range from 9.8 percent to 18.3 percent. Kentuckians will pay up to 17 percent more in 2015, and in Virginia rates will rise as much as 22 percent. These increases are the direct result of the Obamacare scheme to make health care more affordable, and the increases could have a considerable impact on the November congressional elections.
The state-by-state drip, drip, drip of bad news for Democratic candidates can be good news for the rest of us if it encourages voters to shake up Washington. The shake-up starts with getting the government out of health care.

So YOU know how I voted too? Do tell!
Nearly all of the other social justice laws imposed on us don't apply to congress either.
But hey, if you want to keep doing what you've been doing, I refer you to Einstein's definition of insanity.
I call them "Pollyanna Republicans". They'll injudiciously pull the lever for the "R" regardless of the candidate's personal character or moral center; all that matters is stuffing Congress with "R" politicians, and somehow that will fix things.
One base hit in the entire season. Sign them up for another year!
When the Democrats lose their congressional seats just imagine how many Democrat staffers will be forced to pay for ALL of their Obamacare.
“The Senate is controlled by the Dems, in case you didnt notice.”
Exactly. People are too quick to blame republicans for not standing up to obama and stop him. But their hands are tied because the senate is controlled by the democrats. Whatever legislative moves they make, it will be a huge waste of time, money, and political capitol because it will just die in the senate, on reids desk. A futile gesture.
While not totally rational, it is not unusual that, when things go wrong, blame is assigned to the person closest to your viewpoint. Conservatives expect liberals to act as they do and consequently don't feel betrayed by their actions. They expect conservatives to stop them and feel betrayed when they don't. Generally, conservatives want to be right while liberals want to win.
What’s that have to do with MY fact about congress not having to abide the health law they passed on us? Please, enlighten me.
“The socialists and statists who run the country have successfully dumbed down the population to an extent that they are largely docile and easily manipulated. Their plan is working.”
When I got a teaching credential 20 years after getting my BS, I was shocked at the deterioration of our ‘education’ system. The dumping down has been swift and complete.
Amazingly, most parents don’t care or are in denial. Even when I point out that we are at the bottom of the international math and science tests, I get a ‘my child is doing well’ response. And these same morons vote for tax increases to give schools more money at every opportunity too.
Without people being able to think logically and notice when they are being deceived, this country has no chance to turn around.
“It amazes me that so many here, who should know better, blame the Republicans more than Obama despite the FACTS I cited above.”
I lost track of how many times the House has voted to repeal Obamacare.
“Coloradans can expect bad news Friday.”
Nope. The bad news is going to be kept secret by the Colorado Democrats for a couple more weeks according to the Denver Post:
“Health insurance carriers had to submit their 2015 plans and rates to state regulators for review Friday.
The Division of Insurance, which would not release the carriers’ submissions to The Denver Post, said it will now begin reviewing the filings.
The division will make the filings available to the public June 23 on its website. Division spokesman Vince Plymell said the two-week delay gives staff time for a cursory review to ensure filings are complete and no proprietary business information is inadvertently released to the public.”
Don’t forget the Republican dirt bag Olympia Snowe.
2. One Senate Republican even helped Democrats to pass ObamaCare. When Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME) voted in favor of ObamaCare in committee in 2009, CBS lauded her as a force to be reckoned with: When Olympia Snowe cast the lone Republican vote for the Senate Finance bill, she reaffirmed her place as a power player on Capitol Hill.
conservatives want to be right while liberals want to win
************
That is a fundamental reality/truth. Republicans never seem to fully understand this (i.e., for the Dems, politics is bloodsport). The Dems are bullies who play to win at all costs.
Until Republicans accept this as fact, and up their game, they will never achieve significant political victories. Also, Dems never really compromise; they claim they do but but its all an illusion that Republicans too often buy into at their own (and our) peril.
Most Democrats have no fear of Republicans. They view them as dumd and pliable. Republicans need to earn respect and will only get that by playing to win.
This applies to voters as well as to office holders and seekers.
Ruh Roh....
Some are dumb and pliable. Many are corrupt and ever so accommodating to the statist's plans.
And to go along with the healthcare rate increases, we will have equally if not more damaging electric and energy rate increases that will hurt consumers and kill remaining manufacturing jobs.
Anyone that votes for a Dim is a sado-masochist.
There, fixed your post for you...
I do not blame Obama for Obamacare. I blame McCain and McConnellfor voting for cloture to pass Obamacare when Cruz did his filibuster. Had they not voted for cloture we would not have Obamacare. It is their fault.
