More college men are fighting back against sexual misconduct cases
Los Angeles Times ^ | June 7, 2014 | By Teresa Watanabe

Peter Yu, Drew Sterrett and Lewis McLeod were headed toward bright futures at prestigious colleges and universities when each got involved in one-night sexual encounters..

All three young men claimed the encounters were consensual — but the women asserted otherwise. In each case, campus officials found the men responsible for sexual assault and expelled or suspended them.

The insane liberals are going to wind up with a culture that only accepts celibacy, the exact opposite of what they want!

“I guess now every time two people get drunk in college and have sex, rape will be charged against the guy.”

Pretty darn easy solution there, little feller. Simple solution.
***************

Yep, there sure is. I got tired of taking the opposit approach and then being rebuked by the typical woman for not “acting fast enough.” As a result, one can just give up and concentrate on work and forget the fairer sex.

I do enjoy the friendships I have with married gals, but then I know that these issues aren’t going to arise. Most single woman in our society are nasty little back biters, however the rare ones that are the exception are jewels to be discovered....

Does the female have no culpability in this?

No. Welcome to today's world of double standard feminism, where women are both strong and empowered, and yet victims, depending on what's convenient.

And where women are 0% responsible for their actions when drunk and men are 100 % responsible for their actions when drunk.

The woman should not have put herself in a position where she would end up having drunken-consensual sex.

When I say that, I’m talking about women who do get drunk when they go out and then go home with some guy.

It takes two to tango, if DWI is the result of a choice you made and you are accountable, DrunkWhileScrewing is the same. You made the choice.

If women want to be treated as Adults except when they don’t there is an inequality in the Law.

It is risk mitigation.

In the two examples you cited, both were the result of choices. If you dally around, it can (and did) blow up in your face. If you drive in a bad part of town, don’t expect the cops to have much sympathy for you if you get attacked.

Just because people get away with both doesn’t mean the choice was a good one.

I tend to prefer for women to at least be conscious when I make love to them. Having sex with an unconscious woman, even if she is naked in your bed, pretty much meets the definition of rape.

OTOH, saying that a woman can’t consent to having sex because she is too drunk is pretty much the same as saying that no-one is responsible for their actions when they’re drunk. If you get drunk and then decide to have sex, you have only yourself to blame.

“Ahh but you are not a woman. As a woman I guarantee that all these girls hooking up with many random men are doing so for reasons beyond having an orgasm. They just are good at keeping it hidden and lying about their true motives.”

What possible other motives could there be for meeting a random man for sex after seeing nothing but his shirtless pic online? Or grabbing a man in a club where it is too loud to even speak and taking him to the bathroom?

I used to do it when younger and some girls wouldn't want you to even know their real name. There is a large number of women who obviously want purely physical encounters with no other intention.

Sure, 99% of women maintain the search for “Prince Charming” but these physical encounters are not part of that goal. They are purely for fun and sexual release between any serious long-term dates.

Your friend didn’t learn the basic rules of having one night, sneak out before she wakes up, stands that every college male needs to live by.

NEVER have a one night stand with a girl from your own school. ALWAYS use a fake name.

If women want to be treated as Adults except when they don’t there is an inequality in the Law.

And that is the issue. In this area, the attitude is that legal adults are not held accountable for their choices because the other party let them choose. We have that in other areas such as suing a bar tender for serving someone who then goes out and has an accident.

If a person chooses to go out and have a hook up, they should not be able to say "Well, he/she shouldn't of let me have sex" later.

My heart bleeds for the poor boys. They just wanted to act like animals. What’s wrong with that?

Oh please. People have been having sex for thousands of years. I suppose you were a virgin until your 10th wedding anniversary?

Attitudes like yours are why people don't vote conservative.

Spoken like a man.
And women don't eat except for when they are hungry either. There can't be any other reason.
And they don't shop unless they need to buy something specific. Nothing else makes sense.

Are you willing to apply that equally against women who do similar things?

" I’m not saying it’s fair..."

You're evading the question, which sort-of tells me your answer, but I'll ask again, slightly differently:

If a man feels himself humiliated by a woman's treatment of him, and he decides to ruin the woman's life in retaliation, would you similarly say she's a "loser" for having done something to upset him?

Or does it only work in one direction in your world?

It pisses me off that women get a free pass to do stuff like that.

As another example, watch Cardie Underwood's video "Before He Cheats", where she destroys the guy's vehicle, and judge what your reaction would be were the sexes reversed and a guy made a music video about wrecking the car of his cheating girlfriend. You think the video would be popular? Or would the guy be banned from ever working in the music industry again?

>> I don’t think feminism caused him to have drunken hookups

The “feminism” charge relates to the perjury — implying the woman was emboldened by the feminists’ general contempt for men. At least that’s my take of the poster’s final thought.

Did “feminism” result in the drunken sex? Plenty of arguments can be made to show that feminism has lowered relational standards.

I did not say either choice is a good one. There are a lot of things people do every day that aren’t good choices, but the tone of some people on this forum would suggest that even though it is a bad idea to reach too far to the side on a ladder, they deserve it if they fall off and break their neck.

What if someone takes a wrong turn off the highway and ends up being assaulted...is that their fault if they are from Iowa and have no idea that part of Toledo should be avoided at all costs?

Likewise, what if a couple go out on a nice date and have consensual sex, but she arrives with the police the next day and says a guy raped her for whatever reason...is THAT his fault?

I understand there are a lot of people on FR who are going to castigate a man for having extramarital sex, never mind that it has been going on since the beginning of time for men of all stripes, both reputable and disreputable. That is their right to piously castigate a man. But it is disgusting to see this defense of an overtly cruel and spineless (not to mention illegal and slanderous) act by a woman.

I simply don’t understand where people are coming from. I don’t care how puritanical people might be, how does that justify the destruction of a man’s life by a lying, vengeful or selfish woman?

The tone from some I see here is disturbing.

“These girls go to bars or “hookup” sites and sleep with guys that they know nothing about”

Nowadays as women age there is a good chance they are just looking to get pregnant; an alarming number of women aren’t breeding, and many of them would like to.

“I guess now every time two people get drunk in college and have sex, rape will be charged against the guy.”

That was my first thought - if they were both drunk, and she WENT BACK TO HIS ROOM, and started, again, tearing her clothes off - sounds like he was the one that was raped.
