More college men are fighting back against sexual misconduct cases
Los Angeles Times ^ | June 7, 2014 | By Teresa Watanabe

Peter Yu, Drew Sterrett and Lewis McLeod were headed toward bright futures at prestigious colleges and universities when each got involved in one-night sexual encounters..

All three young men claimed the encounters were consensual — but the women asserted otherwise. In each case, campus officials found the men responsible for sexual assault and expelled or suspended them.

I guess now every time two people get drunk in college and have sex, rape will be charged against the guy.

I wonder if it occurred to any of these guys that “one-night sexual encounters” are not the way to go.

One of my best friends in college was falsely accused of rape when he was a sophomore. Before the trial even started, the college expelled him. He was forced to commute 4 hours every time there was a court hearing on the case. After a year of delays, the trial finally started.

The accuser broke down during cross examination and confessed to making it all up because he shunned her subsequent advances after the first drunken hook up. The case was immediately dismissed, the girl was thrown in jail for 6 months, if I recall correctly, and my buddy sued her and her family for a large sum of money which they couldn’t afford to pay.

Regardless of the outcome, he’s never been accepted to another college, he has a rape arrest on his record that he’s still fighting to have expunged, and his life is completely ruined. He was a mechanical engineering major with straight As before all of this went down. Absolutely tragic and disgusting the power that women have and will wield at a whim if they feel even marginally slighted.

The militant feminist movement has destroyed the men in this country.

That would be morality which is too similar to religion and is verboten on campus, unless it is the "Religion of Peace."

Some chick in college can bring a guy home to her apartment, get drunk, strip naked, share a bed and pass out, but if the guy awakens before she does, is too drunk to remember where he is and sees an attractive naked chick in the same bed with her legs spread wide open and does what most stupid young drunk guys would do in the same situation, she can cry rape as if it is the equivalent of some dirtbag grabbing an innocent girl on a dark street and dragging her into the alley.

And any politician who actually points out this difference will suffer the same fate as Todd Aiken.

My heart bleeds for the poor boys.

They just wanted to act like animals.

What’s wrong with that?

The education system is pro female biased, from preschool, elementary, high school to college. I’m glad men are finally standing up and fighting back.

I’m almost surprised that half of all sex on college campuses doesn’t end up reported as rape with the asinine atmosphere of raging youth hormones and hypersensitive “awareness”.

Sick and tired of being found guilty every time by man-hating feminazis.

It’s been open season on men for a long time. Piss off a woman, and she can destroy you with false charges.

Pretty darn easy solution there, little feller. Simple solution.

Not just men. Marriage too. Roughly 75% of divorces are brought on by the wife. And no, it’s not because men give more justification...

Unfortunately he set himself up with the first drunken hookup. God isn’t mocked.

I agree with your sentiment to a degree, but should the punishment not fit the crime?

My take on this gets back to personal responsibility.

And it’s directed at men, to be careful about who you get involved with.

Don’t get into habits of having casual sex with women you don’t really know, or know well.

Both men and women should avoid situations which can get them in trouble.

Traditional values and behaving yourselves are good places to start.

23 years in law enforcement in a three college city. The majority of these cases are “cover your ass” for the females. Don’t want boyfriend or parents to find out...so its reported as sexual assault. Even when its consensual, I have had young women tell me “he should have known I was uncomfortable with it.” Yes there are some cases of sexual assault that are legitimate...but the vast majority that I have dealt with have been intoxicated bad decision making..

I remember having to sit through meaningless propaganda classes on sexual harassment in the 90s while Bill Clinton was groping and assaulting women left and tight.

Traditional values and behaving yourselves are good places to start.

But it's so much easier to blame somebody else for your woes, which is exactly why the Women's Studies types are always screaming rape.

Where I live almost all of the divorces are a result of the wife sleeping with her boss or her husband’s friends. Women justify what they do and their girlfriends back them up. If a man does something wrong, there are no excuses. Love the hypocrisy of the women of my crappy generation.
