Sounds about like Cantor II; the GOP could do no less.

He may have learnt his lesson.

He got Arpaio to endorse him which was a mistake. If Sessions votes for amnesty he is gone in 2016 based on what Katrina Pierson got this time.

NO NO NO NO NO

We did not just bounce Eric Cantor to have this troll waltz in. Might as well have Tom Cole! A conservative needs to step up.

Republicans are fighting their own base harder than they ever fight Democrats.

I have seen him on C-Span many times during hearings.
He came across as quite competent and good talker.

The GOP-E will search their database for any rino who ever said anything about border control and try to give that person an instant makeover as a tough-on-amnesty replacement for Cantor.

The answer should be no, no, and hell no!

From Breitbart: “”A series of videos from several town halls in 2013 have surfaced showing that Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) supports amnesty for illegal aliens, despite claims from his re-election campaign that he is against allowing illegal aliens stay in America....” “

+1, and they have for quite some time now. That alone should have given us a clue a long time ago!

Between the democrats who act as if they are completely comatose with zero brain activity and the republicans who are in the throws of an identity crisis plus the Obama admin lost in dither and confused land we have a situation beyond any I’ve ever witnessed.

The weaknesses are an open invitation to some bad scenarios.

“I’m a simpleton. What about you. It was the smart bas****s who did this.”

*paraphrased from A Canticle for Leibowitz

People will take their cues correctly from a situation like that.

his main concern would be securing the U.S. border with Mexico

How?

When?

Details first.

Otherwise, no deal. Half of the pro-amnesty crowd use that same old canard. If they, any of them, were sincere, they could secure the border using current laws. They don't need new laws for that.

I agree. My memory says there’s even an already approved authorization to spend whatever money it takes to build the fence from sea to shining sea.

Sessions is a BAD CHOICE.

Maybe Jeb Hensarling (if from Texas)

He's much worse...he's another useless, absentee GOP-E hack:

WHERE DOES PETE SESSIONS LIVE? Answer: Pete Sessions lives in Winter Park, Florida.

And he's doesn't mean a word of it...he's an excellent liar.
