I was going to post something really condemning. I demur because there just isn’t any point anymore. We are undone.

It is pointless to keep reflecting on the momentous mistakes of the Bush Family and what it has done to this country.

my nephew was part of the Army Golden Knights when he did it the first time in Texas... he said the Bush family are the nicest, most humble people you could ever want to know... after the jump, the team and lots of others were invited to a bbq at their ranch... Jerry Falwell was there... according to my nephew, he was so nice and genuine... they were all just regular folk...

Didn’t an old WWII vet just do the same? The real feat is the professional skydiver who jumps with such an old man and delivers him to safety.

I may disagree with the Bush Family but I don’t think they are evil- just wrong on a number of issues, probably because of the bubble they live in.

GHW Bush is a wonderful guy. I have serious issues with his family’s impact on where we are today, but all in all, they are good people. How cool to do this at age 90.

Being a good person and being a good leader are not necessarily the same thing.

I love my mother, who is a kind, sweet, good person, but would never recommend her for politics.

Get Lost.

This thread focuses on a 90 year old gentleman jumping out of a plane, and all you can do is bitch about mistakes that Bushes have done.

I suppose you would have preferred Dukakis or Gore or Kerry instead?

Just got an email and video from my best friend who’s up there in Kennebunkport celebrating the birthday and 41 has successfully landed back on earth. Good for him!

The really telling thing is that you condemn me for mentioning mistakes that you yourself don’t even refute.

I am not going to get lost. I remember “no new taxes” and the historic coalition BUSH 1 put together only to fritter all that away giving credence to an overrated SoS (Powell who has since proven himself to be a Republican traitor) who convinced him not to dethrone Saddam when it could have done real good.

I ALSO am not going to be silent in remembering how BUSH II created two agencies (DHS and TSA) whose mandates have now been subsumed by Obama and are full-bore preparing to take our freedoms in nearly every action they take. Concurrent with his creation was the abject neglect of our spending, economy or even answering his detractors.

I’m not going to get lost. I remember, and I see and have seen what ignoring the obvious does, and celebrating some old man’s indulgences offers no solace nor reason to celebrate.
