I seem to remember that that is what happened in Vietnam. We fought and died over there for an equally ungrateful people who did not want us there because they hated us. At least I think that is what happened.

Let the Russian and Chinese and Europeans duke it out with them. Bring our people home and start producing oil here.

I agree. If for some insane reason we should go back, there should be a total change in the ROEs. From...PC fighting to “in it to win it”. Even if we changed our approach (not gonna happen), the Iraqi government would start screaming “Stop, Stop, Stop!!” Much like what happened in Falluja (sp), the town was conquered but the government pulled us back and we had to go back in and retake the place. Now it will be the whole dang country. That would be the height of insanity, imho.

I do have some sympathy for the general population. But truth be told, they don’t know how to live unless it is under cruel dictatorship. I was afraid of this from the start.

I have even greater sympathy for our military who were forced to endure the place.

I think he's great. I remember the earlier cable days and you would see Mark on tons of shows handing liberals their @ss on the pure power of his passionate well informed arguments.
I know he had some heart issue that contributed to not being a guest as often, but this guy is great and the only one I would put above Limbaugh.
#1. Levin
#2. Limbaugh
#3. Palin
#4. Hannity (because he tries so hard and goes for it)
#5. Coulter when not having orgasms with Christie or Mitt.

I don’t know where you get that information but it’s not true. Many Kurds live right here in my home town of San Diego; I know many and speak with them on a regular basis through my work on the chamber. They blame America for every civilian death in Iraq, and they do so because they say more have died since we invaded than before.

I bet they spend a lot of their time denouncing radical Islam as well.

Of course they don’t. I live in an area that has about 40k Iraqi refugees. Some are muslim, some Chaldean (Assyrian Christian). I can’t think of one who has conveyed to me that they blame radical islam. They blame the unrest and death in Iraq on anything but America. Of course they get their information from Arabic language TV which probably makes MSNBC look conservative. They have told me they felt more safe there when Saddam was running the country. And you know what, they were.

I’ve been saying for years we have been losing the WOT based on my travel throughout the world. The question is where are we going to put up a fight in the ME now or on what’s left of the US after being nuked.

I think we should put boots on the ground and back it with air strikes immediately

Unfortunately, most Americans whether on the left or the right will go to their untimely death’s believing we were never at war...

Maybe you found some of the scumbag Kurds, but the ones in Iraq, I know for a fact, are Pro-American. That is the report I've heard from soldiers of ours over there, and it was the only region in Iraq where are men could walk around freely without any gear or fear of being shot or exploded on. The Kurds do not consider themselves as Iraqis, but as Kurds, with their own land and their own identity. They suffered the most from Saddam Hussain's regime, and I am quite positive that they will fight the hardest to maintain their liberties.

If this policy failure undermines the POS, good. Whatever it takes, we have to neutralize the greatest threat to American security- the satanic Islamofascist puppet US president.

Just like night follows day, any victory that our military wins will then be squandered by the next liberal president.

Ron Paul is CORRECT... expose and prosecute the Federal Reserve....
pull the troops back.. and start Disassembling the federal givernment..

Disagreeing with you or those soldiers you say you have spoken with hardly qualifies them as "scumbags". Such a comment could be expected form a liberal who, when faced with an differing opinion resorts to name calling. You should be better than that.

I know these people well. They are reasonable people who now live in America and love it here, they just happen to have a differing opinion than you. Their opinions are based on the fact that they have family members who have died or have been directly affected by the conflict in their land. I cannot imagine why you would consider them “scumbags” because of that, but hey, we’re all different.

If they're blaming America for "every civilian death" in Iraq, which is simply absurd (are we in control of Al-Qaeda?) even after they were liberated from being raped, tortured and hit by chemical weapons, had their streets paved, schools built, economy jumpstarted, then they are ungrateful scumbags and should be sent back to Iraq rather than infesting our country. Tis my opinion of the liberals too.

I know American families who, just as with these Kurdish people I speak of blame America for the death of their loved ones, young American military members who would be alive today had America not invaded Iraq. Employing your “logic”, they must be scumbags also. So be it.

Don’t send Americans. Instead surge the anti-Americans. Send Code Pink as negotiators. Send Occupy Wall Street to lambast the rich Mullahs and preach the wonders of atheism. Send alGore and his green brigades to convince the Iraqis they can ditch oil and become a solar superpower. Send the feminists to preach female gender equality. Send Pelosi’s finest to preach equality for all the other genders. Send the media to cover it all. Send Mayor Nagin’s busses to sweep them all under.

Why wouldn't I apply this logic? Their sentiment is the sentiment of scumbag liberals and libertarians who have zero patriotism, zero love of country. How degenerate do you have to be to depict the United States as murdering its own soldiers? Sure, you can hate Obama, you can disagree with the policy, you can question Bush, but you do not engage in outright anti-Americanism.

By the way, our roles are reversed. Earlier you wanted us to sit by and watch the slaughter in Iraq because the Iraqis are so terrible and ungrateful.
