Not trying to convert you, Johnny, you have written yourself off as a non-combatant.

Hardly a non-combatant. I'm working hard to get rid of liberal republicans.

Will John have the Miami Beat team back for dinner, now that St Trayvon let them down?

If you don’t vote, then you are firing blanks.

I vote. I just don't vote for liberal republicans.

And I get others to not vote for liberal republicans. I work hard on the phones and knocking on doors to make that happen.

Brother Johnny,
I did not intend to get into an argument with you,
I have read your posts over the years, and I think you are a good man.
But where we differ is that,
you tend to be more of a “purist”, and I tend to be more of a “realist”.

Just for the record, JimRob is on your side with that train of thought.
I have debated the point with him over the years. (courtesy ping)

But, George Washington, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson,
and Jesus Christ Himself are NOT ON THE FREAKING BALLOT.

The family is voting for what to have for Thanksgiving dinner.
You want a traditional baked turkey dinner, and so do I,
but our choices are, unfortunately, to have either ham or spaghetti.

You can’t always get what you want,
but if you try sometime,
you might find,
you get what you need.

I'm not looking for anyone perfect. I'd probably settle for someone that matches their own party platform.

The reality is that voting for liberal republicans has only gotten you more liberal governance.

Is that supposed to hurt my feelings?

it’s not my problem that you believe liars and that your belief system was seeded with lies.

It’s your problem.

Yes, he is.

More importantly, what exactly is Scott, and why does he deserve my vote?

I do not need to know who or what his opponent is in order to vote for Scott, I need to know what Scott is in order to vote for Scott.

For what he inherited, I believe Scott has done a decent job. He's a hell of a lot better than my governor, and better than Bush and Crist put together.

I know of a personal account of Scott where he was speaking of an event that had happened in Florida a couple of years back. Before giving the speech, he approached some local police officers and had them review his speech first to make sure his description of the events was accurate. I don't know of any other instance where a politician did something like that.

Leadership isn't always about being popular. But I will prefer putting someone like Scott in charge any day over 90% of the career politicians we now see.

Crist could bring in Jerry Brown and turn things around quickly.

My uncle lives in FL and was there when it was jeb to Crist as gov. Did anyone remember Crist intentionally snubbing Dubya’ Bush at the airport, even though it was protocol for the governor to do so?

http://dailycaller.com/2014/06/09/gov-scott-signs-bill-to-grant-in-state-tuition-benefits-to-illegal-immigrants/

He just signed a bill granting in state tuition to illegals.

That’s a deal killer.

I’m not going to support anyone engaging in this garbage.

Hopefully the illegals will vote for him, because I won’t.

So, Alex Sink is the answer— right-oh. The legislature is not a rubber stamp for Scott. Crist is a cultural and ethical disaster. A fraud. Alex Sink is dangerous on the venture socialist front-— put FL back 20 years in productivity.
