HATTIESBURG, Mississippi — A new poll from WPA Research shows conservative Mississippi state Sen. Chris McDaniel has shot up to an eight-point lead, outside the margin of error, over Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) a little over a week from the runoff election.

The poll of 500 likely GOP primary runoff voters has McDaniel leading Cochran 49 percent to 41 percent, with 10 percent undecided. McDaniel beat Cochran in the primary about two weeks ago, getting 1,300 more votes. The poll was conducted June 9 to June 10 and has a margin of error of 4.4 percent.

Now, heading into the runoff, WPA Opinion Research’s Ryan Steusloff wrote in a memo to interested parties about the new Mississippi polling days, “It is clear Chris McDaniel is well positioned to win on June 24th.”

I’ve got some bad news for the Republicans. Americans are not happy about what is going on along our southern border. Allowing the Kenyan to start flying illegal alien invaders into America was a dumb move.

Looks bad for the GOP-E. How much money did McConnell extort and is about to waste for Thud’s political ads?

McConnell just had a fundraiser that raked in about $825k for Cochran.

Yes!

It is important to add on to Brat's upset in Virginia to make the mainstream media address the reality of the revolt, that it is not a fluke limited to the seventh District of Virginia caused by a poorly run campaign but a national phenomenon.

That is important because it is necessary to intimidate the Republican establishment as much as possible and to encourage the conservative base. A victory in Mississippi will make it much more difficult for the Mike Murphys and Karl Roves of the world to convince the Republican establishment that they can continue to go along and get along.

I watched two interviews with Cochran over the past two weeks. In some ways, I feel sorry for the guy because he really isn’t physically or mentally up for this election. The age factor is really taking a toll on the guy and the Republican apparatus in Mississippi should have been looking for a replacement character back five years ago who could have fit into their agenda and had the stamina for an election.

If I were on the Cochran team....I’d take him off any more interviews....do strictly TV ads and pretend he’s perfectly fit and mentally alert.

I will add this....I think this is all for the sake of getting up to the 2016 period, where Cochran announces suddenly he’ll retire and some unheard Ford dealer out of Jackson suddenly is announced as the next temp senator.

That's a very on target point. The decisive Brat victory was not an outlier but, I think, an indicator of what's yet to come. As Jim Robinson has stated repeatedly, "Rebellion is brewing!", and indeed it is.

You were reading my mind, phrase for phrase! There has to be ongoing support on both sides to permit this criminal dumping of illegals. Eventually well find out whose bright idea it was. I say George Soros and/or Valery Garrett.

. . .

I suspect that was their plan but he was forced into a runoff and now we can all see his deteriorating mental condition.

Frankly, I feel sorry for Cochran. He’s mentally unfit, barely knows what’s going on, and is being used and abused by the establishment GOP to both stick it to conservatives and line pockets with whatever he’s able to loot from taxpayers.

It’s very, very sick what the establishment is doing here.

“McConnell just had a fundraiser that raked in about $825k for Cochran.”

When and if McDaniel wins, it will be a second instance wherein the voters are pi$$ed off enough that the old “money is the mother’s milk of politics” cannot overcome their anger. And our half-breed narcissist in chief is playing into the process with his last gasp, wholesale violations of his oath of office. I just hope that Scrotum Neck McConnell is turned out. If holding the Senate means we have to keep him, holding the Senate won’t mean much of anything, and personally I think we can take back the Senate without his traitorous a$$.

When Thad falls, he will take Haley Barbor down part of the way with him. O used to think so highly of Mr. Barbor, not anymore. He is a RINO through and through.

I suspect there’s at least five or six Senators (both Republican and Democrat) who wouldn’t pass a mental fitness test (McCain is one of them), if required for the job. For the House...there’s probably twenty such characters. They are simply pretender political figures...neither Republican or Democrat in character...just pretending enough to help their sponsor achieve the results required.

I think this is important too. The eliet groupies need to wake up and realize that this is a generational shift, and it will continue until the budget is brought under control.
