Cotton leads Pryor in internal poll (AR)

Rep. Tom Cotton leads Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.) in a new internal poll from Cotton's campaign first shared with The Hill.

Cotton leads Pryor by 47 percent to 40 percent in the live-caller poll, conducted by OnMessageInc for Cotton's campaign. Campaigns' internal polls should always be viewed with a bit of skepticism, as they're released to help set narratives, and there has been little public polling of the race since early May. A number of late April polls had found Pryor with the lead.

But Cotton's numbers are in line with a number of other Republican pollsters' figures that have been released since Memorial Day, and follows increased ad spending by Cotton's campaign after outside groups had mostly dominated the airwaves in the race.

President Obama's standing in the deep red state is clearly hurting Pryor. The president is at 35 percent approval rating in the poll, with 61 percent disapproving.

The memo argues that Cotton's recent barrage of mostly positive ads has helped him weather the storm of outside attacks and puts him in position to win a key Senate battle.

"Senator Pryor cannot escape the gravity of his own support for President Obama’s agenda which continually holds him to a vote share in the low 40’s," pollster Wes Anderson writes in the memo. "While we undoubtedly have a number of additional attacks to defend between now and the first Tuesday in November, we hold the high cards as our message is resonating with the voters while Senator Pryor’s appears to be doing little to help him."

The live-caller poll of 600 likely voters was conducted from June 9-11 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. The partisan composition of this poll is 36 percent Democratic, 35 percent Republican and 27 percent independent.

Cotton is OK.

Will I vote for him? Yes.

Will I donate to him? No.

Give him 5 years in the Senate and I wouldn’t vote for him.

“Give him 5 years in the Senate and I wouldn’t vote for him.”

Right, vote for him now to get rid of Pryor, and if he votes with the moderates, vote for somebody else to remove him!

“Will I vote for him? Yes.”

I will not vote for him or send money. Only because I don't have the money and I don't live in Arkansas. Otherwise, I would be happy to vote for him and donate.

Candidate Cotton needs to ask Sen Pryor when Obama is coming by to campaign for his "Rubber Stamper" (snix).

SEN MARK PRYOR RECEPIENT OF COVETED "OBAMA RUBBER STAMP AWARD" Pryor doesn’t waver; said he would vote for Obamacare all over again. That's why Pryor recently got the coveted "Obama’s Rubber Stamp" award. Let's hear it directly from the horse’s mouth.....go to the video, where Sen Pryor avers that knowing what he knows now, he would still have voted for Obamacare back in 2009. VIDEO at hotair.com web site.

=============================================

STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANE As far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature healthcare plan---ultimately enacted, by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote, into the "Affordable Care Act"

QUOTING 2008 OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if you’ve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All I’m going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. You’ll still have choice of doctor.” Repeated over and over ---- with the promise that every American family would be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.

Significantly, Obamba NEVER corrected lock-stepping Democrats, all reading from the same Democrat talking points, all of them repeating the same Democrat promises---over and over again.

LOCK-STEPPING PARTY LOYALTY NOT SEEN SINCE 1930-40's ERA EUROPE Obama And The Dems marched in lockstep. The persistent Dumbocrat drumbeat ---- in obeisance to Obama ---- kept ringing reassuringly in our ears: "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan."

Could it be that Rubio is hiding now? Yes he is. His Gang or 8 foray will cost him dearly as many Americans who actually vote are paying close attention to this whole immigration debacle. By signing onto the Schmucky Schumer instigated Senate plan he has been forever stained with the results.

As you stated about Cotton, we gave Rubio a chance, even though the alternative was worse, and he thanked us by exposing his lies from the heart, not script, and people like me are already looking for the next “nobody” to oust Marco come 2016.

Mark Pryor looks for Obamacare enrollees who've paid for
insurance, who are actually insured, for millenials duped into
paying for other people's h/care and for the "underserved"....
who had no insurance before ACA took effect.

"I can't find anybody."

I believe I have read that Cotton is good on immigration, but unfortunately is prone to be McCainiac/Grahamnesty-like on wanting endless interventions in foreign hellholes.

It would be great to have another border enforcement advocate in the Senate, but he will have to be watched carefully (just like all the other jokers who “serve” us).

Wasn’t Cantor leading Brat in internal polls, too? Yeah, something like 62 to 28.

Didn’t internal polls show the Pubbies taking the Senate in 2012?

Wasn’t Romney going to win in a landslide based on internal polls in 2012?

Don’t bet the farm on the result of internal polls.

The few Cotton ads I have seen are just not that good.

He needs to hire some professional ad people. He seems to be protraying himself as a hokey down-home boy.

Across the aisle, Pryor ads are attacking his voting record, his stands on major issues, etc.

And I’m sure Pryor can pull out internal polls where he’s leading Cotton. That’s why they’re not very trustworty.
