DETROIT — The top legislative body of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has taken major steps toward recognizing gay marriage.
The General Assembly voted Thursday in favor of redefining Christian marriage in the church constitution as the union of "two people," not just "a man and a woman." The redefinition will take effect only if most of the 172 regional Presbyteries approve it in voting over the next year.

Two and a half millions members in 2000. In 2014, there are 1.9 million members. That says it all.

Year in and year out, PCUSA preaches directly against God’s Word....... I wonder if the US Trademark Office can be convinced to “revoke” its legal right to call itself a ‘church?”
Actually Detroit is kind of an odd place for it. Detroit is anything but gay friendly. When city council president Charles Pugh was accused of an “inappropriate relationship” with a male high school student, Pugh fled town. It was just a month or so ago when a bunch of Detroit ministers issued a statement opposing gay marriage.
For gay friendly, look to Ann Arbor or Kalamazoo.

You've got it backwards. The state loves anything degenerate and anti Christian, therefore PCUSA will be just great, probably become a role model.
Christian churches will have their trademarks revoked. Then their tax exempt status. Then zoning permits tightened. etc. etc.
Eventually we will have state approved and speech monitored "church".
