Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran appears a bit frayed as he tries to fend off a challenger born the year he was first elected to Congress.

The 76-year-old Republican is thinner than he was 20 years ago and sometimes leans in to hear questions.

I think the script to this was easily written twelve months ago. Cochran would run one more time, easily winning, and two years from now (2016)...he would retire. Current Mississippi governor Dewey Bryant would then pick an insider to be temp senator, and the this guy would have the best odds of winning in November of 2016.

I don’t think the Bryant or Cochran camps ever suspected that there would be a real race in 2014, and maybe Cochran would lose. The stakes here? I suspect big-time money was put on the table for Bryant to step up and put the right guy in for temp as senator replacement, and Cochran was going to get a fair amount of campaign money and retirement opportunities.

As for the mental alertness of Cochran....it’s just not a pleasant thing to watch this guy in interviews or speeches.

There’s another senate race not far away in which Half His Age is the ‘Rat opponent in the general. No need to post her pic again. She’s cute, but do vote for her opponent if you live there.

Well, the thing is; a senate gig is retirement, living large on the taxpayers dollar. Doesn’t get much better....

Cochran courting Obamabot, Democrat, African-American votes make Thad Cochran, the candidate of the Democrat Party. Every Republican and Independent voter in Mississippi should cast their votes for Chris McDaniel, next Tuesday, June 24,2014 in the Senat runoff election!!! Cochran is a turncoat, traitor to every Republican and Conservative in the state of MIssissippi.

My advice to African-American voters is...yep....go right ahead and vote for Thad Cochran....and continue to get royally screwed by your buddies, Obama, The CBC, the NAACP, Thad Cochran, etc. Obama and his Obamabots have done you good folks so bad....you won’t recover for the next fifty years. Living on govenment freebies, drugs, poor education and mass abortions is no way to go through life!!! Freedom, Liberty, Education, Opportunity, Equality, Respect & Strong Family, make for good folks....not Obama economic slavery!!! Wake up, MS Blacks....vote for Chris McDaniel!!!

Anyone who can’t live without his office at the age of 76 should be replaced. Obviously, he believes he is indispensable…or hasn’t made enough money off his connections yet.
