And some atheists really do cool it; they might be smugly looking down on Christians but at least they don’t presume to stop what is floating someone else’s boat if it does themselves no harm. They won’t be in the hottest part of hell, and might even end up believing just before the end.
In my exposure there are very few actual atheists who are live and let live with Christians. It’s the agnostics who are. Pretty fine line, there, I know. Agnostics don’t reject God, though. They just don’t know. Atheists believe themselves to know that there is no god.
