Kurdish authorities tell news outlet that they passed along intelligence about the ISIS plans months ago to US, UK - who then did nothing.
The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant's (ISIS) takeover of Iraq earlier this month took the world by storm, as the successive fall of several major cities in the Sunni-dominated northwest left Iraqis fleeing and world leaders shaken.
But what if the blitz military conquest could have been prevented altogether?
Kurdish intelligence reported news of a strategic alliance and pact between Islamist groups to topple Mosul and other major Iraqi cities with ISIS's help as far back as January, the Telegraph reported late Sunday.
Shortly after the fall of Fallujah to ISIS, an informant reportedly stepped into a Kurdish intelligence office to reveal the news that ISIS officials had networked with remnants of Saddam Hussein's regime and former Hussein deputy Izzat al-Douri to plan a large-scale invasion.
But while Kurdish handlers ran immediately to the US and Britain with the information, the West allegedly sat back and did nothing.
"We had this information then, and we passed it on to your (British) government and the US government," Rooz Bahjat, a senior lieutenant to Lahur Talabani, head of Kurdish intelligence, told the Telegraph. "We used our official liaisons."
"We knew exactly what strategy they were going to use, we knew the military planners," he added. "It fell on deaf ears."

Morning Gleeaikin. My thoughts might be unpopular with some but I do not see this as an intelligence failure. The Kurds are to be commended (imho) for coming forward with the information. D.C., particularly obama, is on the side of isis. Great Britain is well aware of this fact. Great Britain is treading cautiously and whom can blame them. Our ‘death wish’ media is thinking they have an out but they are extremely vulnerable for having trusted obama. skerry told Maliki to pack up, move his billions and give a cut to skerry and obama. It is all about money at this point and whom has it. The doing nothing should have shocked nobody for that is what obama does best. moslem factions becoming as one and working together should be the world’s greatest fear.
All according to plan. Arming terrorists in Syria thru Libya... Leaving military assets to same to be used in planned takeover of Iraq... What is next? Obama and Jarrett know...they are part and parcel in the planning.... They are complicit.. The bumbling stumble bum act is a fiction.

I hear you...it’s even harder to digest when it’s our own kids that won’t see reason. Speaking of family, my folks have always been active in the church and a couple years ago they befriended a new couple...both in their 60’s...that actually campaigned for Mr. Obama. I explained to my folks his stance on abortion, gays, former church affiliation, some anti-biblical remarks he’d made, etc. (they don’t have cable or internet) and wondered aloud why any Christian would be pro-Obama. The woman was very rude to me when we first met....the reason why is just dawning on me after writing this! Mom must have been concerned and told them what I said and she did NOT like it.

The UK and USA didn’t want that data out on their Sunni buddies.
They wanted their Sunni Buddies to dispose of the Syria leaders with military help from both countries.
Many of the weapons the ISIS serial killers have came from Libia aka Benghazi and indirect sources from both sides.
The only who probably didn’t know the dangers of ISIS was McAinal when he gladly posed with some ISIS serial killers and called them, the good guys. He was and is too dumb to realize he was a PR tool for ISIS.
Isn't it amazing how so many other wise intelligent people and Freepers refuse to realize what you posted. The ISIS serial killers are Barry's Team (Sunnis). He supported them in Syria and is supporting them now.

The standoff in Iraq isn't between a single militant group and the government. There is a broad coalition of Sunni groups--both nationalist and Islamist--who had been plotting against Iraq's Shia government for years before ISIS's rise provided the chance to strike. ISIS and its partners are unnatural allies. Maintaining their unity was the key to their early success, and is the only way they can hold the ground they have taken, but that incentive may prove to be weaker than the force of their natural hostilities.
"ISIS control in Mosul is contingent on political alliances they have made with the Baathists and the tribal groups," said Brian Fishman, a fellow at the New America Foundation, who has been following ISIS since the group's early days during the Iraq war.

Under Bush, it was the corruption created under Clinton that prevented the info from getting to where it should have. And Bush was also hampered by $ from Saudi, the entire relationship with S.A. At least he made a bit of a try, although not what should have been done. Now, the entire administration is pro-Moslem or actively Moslem. A considerable difference.
Not much danger of the Muslim varieties getting together. They are fighting the way Christians did 300 or 400 years ago.
