Is there an epidemic of school shootings? Parents are understandably fearful, but their fear is unjustified. Schools are relatively safe places, and they have gotten much safer.
While even one death is too many, the number of children killed in school shootings has declined over the last couple of decades. The drop is even larger than the overall decline in the murder rate.

What liberal media won’t tell you about their echo chamber, ratings/circulation down not up...
The liberal media will tell you that the United States has one of the highest gun crime rates in the world, but will not tell you that if you exclude the strict gun control cities of Chicago, New York and Washington DC, the United States has one of the lowest gun crime rates in the world.
If those cities would stop trying to enact new gun control laws, eventually their crime rates would drop all the way down to the level of cities in states without gun control laws.
Then, if cause equals causation, the current laws have resulted in a positive and hopeful trend.
The anti gun mediots never tell about the serial killers being mentally ill, on heavy drugs and often with an Aspergers Syndrome diagnosis long before they decided to kill someone.
Often the serial killers are spoiled brats or adults with Affluenza Aspergers Syndrome. Their parents are wealthy enough to hide the danger of their spawn.
For example, the recent UC Santa Barbara killings, The killer had been diagnosed with Aspergers according to ABC news (http://abcnews.go.com/US/suspect-uc-santa-barbara-shooting-identified-family/story?id=23853918).
The anti gun mediots also left out an important fact about Rodgers and the 3 room mates he slaughtered with a hammer and a knife, not with a gun. They were living in a halfway house apartment for the mentally undeveloped. The anti gun mediots never got into the fact that Rodgers was living in a group home setting, set up for developmentally delayed.
Remember Rodgers did not use an evil gun to kill his “three roommates” . He used a hammer and a knife. Yet many of the original lies posing as journalism failed to mention that the room mates were not killed by a gun, and they are still quoted.
Sure they were his “roommates” but not in the way people are thinking of roommates.
The 22-year-mentally ill killer was living with them at the Independent Living Institute in Santa Barbara, according to CBS. Clearly, there is a problem with Democrats, AKA, the mentally ill having guns or being around them.
No NRA members, No Tea Party members, or No Republican conservatives are/were involved.

If Seung-Hui Cho had been institutionalized for mental illness, 32 people would still be alive at Virginia Tech.
If Jared Loughner had been institutionalized, 6 would be alive in Tucson.
If James Holmes had been institutionalized, 12 lives spared in Aurora, CO.
If Adam Lanza had been institutionalized, 26 would still live in Newtown, CT.
If Nidal Hasan had been properly reported, investigated, and discharged from the Army, and institutionalized, 13 would not have died at Ft. Hood.
There has never been a right-wing assassination attempt on a president or a member of Congress.
If we really want to improve safety, keep criminals in jail, terrorists out of the U.S., and people who are mentally ill/deranged in institutions.
Again, It should be illegal for any Democrats/liberal to own guns or be around them.
