How do you like it? Being Stabbed up front by a Democrat or in the back by GOP elite?
The Truth

Posted on 06/24/2014 9:09:03 PM PDT by Bigtigermike

After the shameful and disgusting actions of the GOP Establishment in the Mississippi Republican U.S. Senate runoff, where they used Democrat tactics of screaming racism and promising big government to get the vote out to Democrat voters to cross over and help Thad Cochran win, is it time that conservatives realize that a GOPE can never be trusted? Time and time again, the ruling class aka Karl Rove, Boss Hogg Barbour, big donors, K Street lobbyists and RINO's continue to stab conservatives in the back and would rather risk losing an election to a Democrat than give up their power to a true conservative or a group of them any day!

Many conservatives think that next time it will be different, that next time these RINO's will finally learn their lesson and acquiesce to the voice of their base when in reality they don't give a d*mn about the base. They could care less about their voters because as long as they share some power in D.C. then their true voters, the K street/big donor class will take care of them. I'm tired of falling for these jokers that they will straighten up and fly right, it isn't going to happen. Either we move on with our own voice being heard or we give up

Conservatives tend to play by the rules. It’s one of the things that makes us conservatives. The repulsive, corrupt opposition will always take advantage of this.

So you remove the only power the opposition has. Our vote for them.

The TeaParty in MS needs to vote for the Democrat.

No, they need to run a write in campaign for a Tea Party Independent. Next time they should run a tea party conservative in the Democrat primary. The open primary rules would allow the conservative to win the democrat primary just as it allows liberals to win Republican primaries.

Either way we need to send Thad Cochran back to the senile old folks home. Oh wait, isn't that the Senate?

They should not vote for the Democrats, how does that square with our principles? Either skip that line on the ballot or vote for an independent conservative.

Writing in ones own name is fine. Just deny the GOP the vote. They lose.

"Conservatives tend to play by the rules," is correct but conservatives can also change those rules.

Political party rules are made and changed every 2 to 4 years, depending which faction of that party takes control.

I've never understood how the GOP winds up with such ineffectual candidates (mainline moderates) wind up winning Presidential Primaries, until I took a good closeup look at the two or three states that tend to set the stage, IA, NH and SC.

IA and NH have open primaries (just like MS) so the liberals in the opposition party have an early, strong hand in picking GOP Prez nominees, who go on to lose in the General elections.

A change in the way primaries are run around the country, is up to each individual state and could just give us conservatives the candidate we want instead of the one the DNC/DC/Wall Street wants!

The blacks voted for a republican for the first time. I say it’s time for conservatives to vote for a democrat. A little of the dog that bit them.

The GOPe will refuse to listen to us unless we start punishing them for things like this.

At least Democrats are supposed to hate us, to play sleazy, makes me sick to know those flyers came from the Establishment, which is another word for Progressive liberal because that is what the GOP-E is, am tired of them being called RINOS, they are NOT RINOS, RINOS means they are Republican just in name only..no that is not how I see it, I see it as they were once Republican but they at some point in their lives crossed over and became Progressives, they are worse than Dems because at least Dems reveal themselves to be the roaches that they are..these “Establishment” types pretend they care about the Republican party but turn around and use the same Dem tactics to defeat us

No Romney is a lib. He is one of them. His people are probably behind this in some way or fashion. You’re trumpeting the non running nominee backstabber as if he was a good thing. It is garbage like this from Romney’s wing of the party that causes people to want to stay home.

The best thing that could happen from this is for the people of Mississippi who refuse to be kept on the GOPe plantation to write in McDaniels name in Nov. If every single person who voted for him today, plus anyone offended at the RINO tactics did this, you would not see the GOPe try this too many more times.

Exactly what Rush Limbaugh talked about in the last election. We cannot win with tactics like this!

Next time, conservatives should tell Republicans upfront that they will sit out the general if the conservative candidate does not win the primary. They have expected conservatives to hold their noses and vote for moderates, turn about is fair play. The moderates are destroying the country about as fast as the democrats, so let the democrats have it all and receive the brass ring.

The GOPe cannot be trusted... that’s a start towards sanity.

Now if conservatives realize that they themselves cannot be trusted... and if liberals realize their game is insanity... we will be very close to the recovery.

When humanity gives up on itself and goes to the throne of Heaven, they get chided “What took you so long” but then they get help.

There are a lot of “Christians” who really are simply proud of how “well” they “keep the rules.”

"NOT A SINGLE RINO LOST THEIR SEAT this cycle."

More proof that the US is on the Highway to Hell. The corruption of Big government over the individual is so massive that the only thing that can save us is a total devaluation of the dollar, and we will be there sooner than anyone expects, with massive over-regulations, massive deficits and creating money out of thin air, I don't know how much longer the country can survive.

The attack from the front you may be able to block or counter. The one from the rear, not so much.

...wouldn't we all rather have Romney in the White House????

Yes, and we would likely have been pleasantly surprised. I've heard it said that his "Romneycare" program as governor was the basis for Obamacare, and that may well be correct. But in that case Romney was doing the WILL OF THE PEOPLE of his state, his duty as governor. As President of the United States, wouldn't he abide by the will of the people by not signing off on something so overwhelmingly unpopular as Obamacare? Would he have set the IRS against his political opposition? Would he have plotted with foreign entities to overwhelm our borders with illegal immigrant kids? I think not.
