Washington (CNN) - Expanding his IRS investigation by more than two decades, House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa, R-California, has sent a subpoena to the Federal Elections Commission for all communications involving former IRS administrator Lois Lerner from January 1, 1986 to the present day.
This new search is the broadest-yet for records in a year-long investigation by Issa and congressional Republicans, who are trying to assess why the agency targeted tea party and other political groups for extra scrutiny.

I wouldn’t put it past them. E-mails don’t just go into the wrong box by themselves. I’m sure that stuff is automated.
I wonder how many others Congress members had emails that “accidentally” wandered into Lerner’s inbox?
And wasn’t it revealed earlier that the NSA was snooping on the cloakroom talk for Congress?
Obama and his regime are so crooked and lawless that the same kind of stuff that led to Nixon resigning only gets “Meh” today, because there are at least a dozen other things done that are at least twice as bad.
It’s a classic fishing expedition for leverage. He’s telling her she can stay quiet and let GOP staffers look through her entire life, or she can make a deal for immunity. Her legal expenses is what he’s counting on for leverage.
Lots of people in DC crapping their pants about right now. Wow. That goes back to her years with Clinton.
I’m wondering if they are just running out the clock until after the fall elections .... so they’ll have more abilities than just the house.
That is rather weird since I work with millions of dollars a day and my hard drive has never crashed and I’ve never lost any emails either. My computer is back upped ten ways to Sunday because I can’t afford to lose any information!
I guess the Federal government isn’t responsible enough to keep our information and records safe. So I think we should stop giving any of it to them including tax money so they can’t afford to screw the taxpayer any longer.
I bet they would all wake up if half of them were fired and sent home! That is about how many of them actually are doing their job (if that many).
So why not arrest Holder for contempt of Congress?
Or why not refer various cases to a STATE court, for crimes committed against the citizens of that state? For instance, True the Vote is in Texas, isn’t it? Send the evidence to the Texas AG and have him prosecute all the players - including Lerner and anybody else. Use the federal power to force subpoenas, and use the states’ powers to bypass the lying, thieving enemy Eric Holder, whose only job is to stop justice from ever happening. Collect the evidence at the federal level and then send the evidence, with a referral, to a state AG that will do it justice.
Is there a reason that could not be done? When something dams up a river, that river eventually finds a different course. Eric Holder can sit in the dang river all he wants, but the water WILL find a way around him, and it will hopefully leave him sitting in a desert dying of thirst.
Thats what they would like us to believe. Also the same con they run every election ‘just give us a little more time and THEN boy, we will REALLY do something’.

In the absence of a Special Prosecutor, Eric Holder is untouchable. And in the absence of a 2/3 Majority of Conservatives in the Senate, Obama is untouchable.
