A 7-year-old Basalt girl accidentally ingested candy that was infused with edible marijuana Sunday and was taken to Valley View Hospital for treatment, according to police.
The girl’s mother is a maid at an Aspen hotel where there is a policy that food and beverages left behind in rooms can be taken home by the cleaning staff, according to Basalt Police Chief Greg Knott. The woman found a bag of nuts that also contained a chocolate ball the size of a large marble, he said.

Wow!!! My friend is a translator in Colorado. She does work for hospitals that have parent manuals asking parents to keep their edible marijuana hidden from their children. The entire parent manual assumes that parents use drugs as they would liqour.
They admit in the manuals that marijuana causes permanent damage therefore parents should try to have conversations with children “without any judgement”.
My friend was very disturbed by the whole thing.

But seriously, folks are getting careless with this stuff. Leaving pot-laced food around where someone can unknowingly consume it as a normal edible really could (and should) be banned.
Ukraine is to Europe, what Mexico is to the US, in terms of drug trafficking.
They are also a major money laundering hub. All nations involved in the government complicit drug trafficking, have addiction epidemics.
