In bait and switch, the “bait” is usually a whole lot more appealing than the ObamaCare starter. I don’t want to see the “switch” version of ObamaCare!
I don’t know if gov is to blame or the insurance companies, but this is even more jacked up than before.
Uh, the government.
I don’t believe the gov is alone in this.
Here’s a shocker, if you weren’t already shocked:
My insurance company, BCBS of Florida, sent me a letter because we are behind in premium payments. We have 90 days to catch up. The letter contained this grand little tidbit:
If your policy is cancelled you will have to PAY BACK all the subsidies you received (actually THEY received) from the government on your insurance.
IOW, you will have to pay the government subsidies back to the government.
My insurance was provided by my employer up until January. Since then, they give us a ‘stipend’ to pay for our own insurance policy, equal to the premium with the subsidy subtracted.
They have since fallen behind in giving us our stipend because of business falling off.
We are two months behind..................So We may not only lose our insurance, we will be in debt to the government as well.....................
With a government following the Constitution, we would have an economic environment where COMPETITION would determine prices and markets...the degree to which insurance companies are crooked is only to the degree with which the federal bureaucracy works with them hand in hand.
Any corruption in the industry that existed before the Clown signed Death Panels into existence has grown exponentially BECAUSE of the new regime. Yes, they’re getting bailed out BECAUSE OF THE LAW.
Some in the industry realize they’ll eventually be targeted for destruction, so they’re jockeying to be the last ones standing...and it is all because of the fascists running the executive branch.
Government. The Insurance companies had no problem before OBOZOCare came along.................

I don’t even understand how YOU are responsible for the subsidies... you didn’t receive the benefit, nor the payment.
I can see if you were supposed to pay the full price and had been receiving reimbursement, but this is “feckless”ed up.
