Yet perhaps even more shocking was a 45-second segment of the interview that has received scant attention: A claim by Arpaio that he’s close to discovering who forged Barack Obama’s birth certificate.
His comments were made between 9:59 and 10:44 in the interview and began as an explanation of why he would not run for Arizona governor despite appeals to do so. Arpaio said, “I would have to resign; I’m not going to leave this office to somebody coming in when I have sensitive investigations going.”
And then came the bombshell. Arpaio continued: “including the president’s birth certificate — I haven’t finished that yet.”
Picking up the ball, Humphries asked just a bit later, “Do you still believe that the president was not born in the country? Do you still think there’s a problem with the birth certificate? This prompted Arpaio to reply, with evident passion:
You know, I don’t care where he was born. It has nothing to do with it. I’m concerned about a forged, fraudulent government document; from day one I’ve been investigating that. Now we have to find out who’s behind that; I’m getting close to that. But I’m looking at a fraudulent document. Anybody else would go to jail.
This should raise eyebrows coming from Arpaio. Love him or hate him — and few are indifferent about “America’s Toughest Sheriff” — his reputation is that of a straight-shooter not given to hyperbole. So his claim of being close to discovering the forger of Obama’s birth certificate is to be taken seriously.
Arpaio launched the birth-certificate investigation in 2011, in response to a complaint by the Surprise, Arizona Tea Party, with the creation of a five-person, volunteer "Cold Case Posse" consisting of “two former law enforcement officers, two retired attorneys, and retired New Jersey police detective Michael Zullo,” reported the online Daily Caller at the time.
And on July 17, 2012, the results were announced. After having already declared in March of that year that the president’s long-form birth certificate was likely a computer-generated forgery, Arpaio’s investigators could make a definitive statement.
Obama’s birth certificate is “definitely fraudulent.”
Yet this bombshell received relatively little mainstream-media play, with the claims being portrayed as a tin-foil-hat conspiracy theory. The problem with this dismissive attitude is that Arpaio’s allegations present only two possibilities: A major American law-enforcement agency is spreading misinformation for the purposes of damaging a sitting president.
Or Obama’s birth certificate really is fraudulent.
Either way it’s a scandal.

Jan 20, 2017....Sheriff Joe Arpaio has announced that he has found the forger for the Obama birth certificate. Congressional Republicans are set to begin impeachment proceedings immediately.

If there is some computer-specific signature in the pseudo-certificate that can be compared with a public source of documents such as Facebook, then just maybe a group of potential culprits could be narrowed down.
But again he probably ought not to hint this.

I admit that I'm way past impatient and want to race ahead in this chapter to see how it ends.
None the less, I'm grateful that Arpaio is a more practical and systematic investigator, rather than one who runs off with the first tantalizing lead presented to him, only to have it blow up in his face, on the internet and in the headlines.
From 2008 until today, I find it easy to believe there is some bad blood between thieves regarding the Clinton and obama crime families and that they've had a deal to acquire power and avoid their Mutually Assured Destruction.
It's also easy to believe that obama isn't going to live up to his end of that deal and both sides know it.
This is why I believe that all the many current investigations, especially Arpaio's, will begin to reap a bountiful harvest.
As a side, I'm very curious about who/what pushed the Nobel people to give obama their prize.

I’m not knocking Arpaio or what he’s doing.
I’ve just been consistently widening the net, so-to-speak, as the Puppet is one small piece in this and, as Mississippi proved to everyone else that’s paying attention (except for those of us that already knew), the ‘net’ includes establishment Republicans.
The integrity of so-called Tea Party candidates (the name has become a slur...I’m not slurring it) is, in my opinion, much more important and is the reason Rubio has taken so much heat (it was his own damned fault, falling for RATs’ bait & stepping right into the trap of amnesty). ‘Tea Party Politicians’ violate that integrity at their own peril.
Just sayin’.
The Clinton/Puppet ‘deal’ was forged in that hotel room in ‘08; we never did find out who else was in that room or privy to that meeting...
The "TEA party" is what was once called "The Silent Majority", aka the "grass roots" of America, and is not a political "party" at all.
To me, it's those, regardless of political party, with a more of a common sense (cause->effect) understanding of the inherent, unchangeable rules governing how the world works, and avoiding things that break those rules.
Whatever their reasons, both the GOPe and demonrat parties have traded integrity for illusion, as have their members who ally with them and advance or accept the illusion without question.
Common sense says this illusion will eventually fail, history says painfully, hence the rise of the TEA party, a sweet-smelling rose of liberty by any name the GOPe and demonrats want to call it.
I see more computers crashing in the near future.

I didn't think this investigation had mentioned a name yet. I did think they said they had a name but were just gathering more evidence before going public with it. Other people have mentioned names, I think, including that nutty lady who claims she did it.
It does seem like a step backwards, though. Perhaps in another few months they'll announce that they're close to proving the LFBC is a forgery.
KB periodically announces who it is. He has a warped yet delightful [most of the time] sense of humor. He’s also posted Obama’s true identity multiple times [I think he’s a French Dauphine, or something like that (I’m sure KB knows that’s the feminine form; I said his humor was warped)] and other keen insights.
Just don’t get him started on Reggie Love. However many times I tell KB, ‘don’t be crude’, it seems never to help. Once KB gets going on Obama’s bodyman, & it’s time to switch the channel.
