One Year Later, Lamar Alexander Continues War on America’s Workers
breitbart.com ^ | 6/27/14 | Joe Carr

One year ago today, Tennessee’s senior Senator Lamar Alexander declared war on our working families by voting for amnesty.

One year ago today, Lamar Alexander showed us his true colors by siding with Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and La Raza to import more than 30 million new immigrants to compete against American workers who are already struggling to find and keep full-time work.

Sen. Jeff Sessions cautioned:

…over the next decade, the Senate plan provides roughly 30 million mostly lower-skill immigrants with permanent residency through green cards. Less than 10 percent of these green cards are allocated through the Gang’s alleged merit system. Moreover, green-card holders will be able to petition in future years to bring in their relatives, including elderly parents, commencing a permanent expansion of chain migration unrelated to skill set. On top of the 30 million green cards, the Gang of Eight’s proposal also doubles the number of non-immigrant guest workers admitted each year from approximately 600,000 today to an average of 1.2 million annually over the next decade. In the first year of the bill, due to the inclusion of family members, the number will spike to 1.6 million, with only 7 percent doing agricultural work. The other 93 percent will be hired to fill jobs in virtually every sector, including construction work, nursing, teaching at public schools, driving trucks, heavy equipment operators, mining and manufacturing.

Consider the state of our economy.

By the end of 2013, more than four million Americans have been jobless for 27 weeks or more. The average time an American is out of work was up to 37.2 weeks. Any “growth” the economy experienced stemmed from temporary buildup in business stockpiles. By February of 2014, factory production in our country had declined to the most since May of 2009.

Joe Carr has to do a better job of getting his name out over the TV and radio airwaves. Alexander is hammering the airwaves.

Tea party people want candidates to step up and run against the GOPe but those candidates get no $$$$upport. They've only succeeded in rare cases where the GOPe opponent has been so repulsive or incompetent that they damaged themselves with their own campaigns (cf. Dewhurst).

Donate to Carr's campaign. It takes money to "hammer" the airwaves.

Hate it. It favors the entrenched incumbent. Rather than early voting, move it to the weekend and open polls for 24 hours.

Carr has the voting record we want, but he just can’t see the forest for the trees. He stays close to home. 1 lousy donor’s only visit to Memphis.

When he should do a Sat after noon campaign stop in Millington. It would draw from all 3 countries surrounding Shelby. And the conservatives in the area will learn about him. NO SHOW UP, YOUR NAME IS UNKNOWN. 1 positive ad on TV so far, he is relying on phone, and social media way to much. Many seniors don’t do night events. And they are the most reliable voting block. This is a high retired Military area. Letting them know lamar has shafted their pensions is a MUST.

People want a PERSON to talk them, to rally around. You can bet RINO lamar will be out in force in West TN. He knows Carr is a no show this area.

there is also a unknown dem running too.

“I wonder if this explains why HUCKABEE is endorsing Alexander?”

Oh, they’re definitely trying to shore up Alexander. First Gingrich, then Huckabee’s endorsement, both within days of the primary in Mississippi.

They won that one through trickery, but Cochran still lost the republican electorate. And Alexander votes pretty much in lockstep with Cochran. He can’t pretend to be a conservative like Cornyn or McConnell, or even Roberts.

From what I read, he didn’t even attend the rally with Palin, West & Santorum. If I understand it correctly, he had to pay to be on the podium, and rather than pay - he said he’d campaign someplace else where it was free for him. I don’t have high hopes for this man, but there’s always a chance - very slim though it is.

There is NOT 1 sign up for Carr in Atoka. Know one has heard of him, unless it is through social media. Good way to lose an election.

My current RINO state REP Debra Moody needs to go. Rory Bricco is a true conservative running against the back stabber Moody. http://rorybricco.com/

If the Tennessee job market was the same as it was in late 1982 Alexander would be history. In East Tennessee businesses had Not Hiring signs out even Mickey D's. The illegals were few and far between. It could turn that way again real fast. The area for a couple of years dodged the bullet because of the 82 Worlds Fair related construction. When it shut down and investors lost their fortunes and businesses in some cases also lost their entire savings in the uninsured SIBC collapse no jobs were to be had.

Thirty two years has brought in a new generation of voters many of which didn't see this or were kids who didn't understand. The one thing sparing the area this time is it's strong Non Union and a right to work state. If the local economy tanks the illegals are already embedded in most large and mid size Tennessee cities and towns. It will make the Great Depression look like a mild recession. Amnesty is national suicide if not sooner then later but it will happen.
