Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren Calls Opposition To Abortion A ‘Vague Moral Objection’

“Can’t believe we live in a world where we’d even consider letting big corps deny women access to basic care based on vague moral objections,” tweeted Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren Monday, reacting to the Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby decision.

The 5-4 ruling held that requiring for-profit corporations to include contraception in their insurance coverage violates the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. The family of David Green, owners of the Hobby Lobby corporation, had sued the government for forcing them to provide possibly abortifacent medication (“morning-after pills”) to their employees. “It is HHS’s apparent belief that no insurance-coverage mandate would violate RFRA,” wrote Justice Samuel Alito in the majority opinion, “no matter how significantly it impinges on the religious liberties of employers—that would lead to intolerable consequences. Under HHS’s view, RFRA would permit the Government to require all employers to provide coverage for any medical procedure allowed by law in the jurisdiction in question—for in- stance, third-trimester abortions or assisted suicide. The owners of many closely held corporations could not in good conscience provide such coverage, and thus HHS would effectively exclude these people from full participation in the economic life of the Nation.

“The Supreme Court has headed in a very scary direction,” said Warren.

Which means she vaguely understands our argument. And is closed minded and doesn’t care to listen any further.

Respect and value for life is a “vague moral obligation”?

A tribal pronouncement brought to you by a fake Indian who practiced law without a license while foreclosing on homes at the same time she was railing against banks for doing the same thing.

Fauxcahontas Liawatha Crockajawea could squeeze her head and fertilize a continent. This one’s going to haunt her if she decides to challenge Hillary.

Killing viable, unborn children is not “vague”. It is brutal and morally abject. Forcing people to pay for it is far worse.

Having seen this phony up close and personal here in the Gay State Princess Liawatha’s starting to look like the Rat’s nominee in ‘16.A blank slate (kinda like Osama Obama and very much *unlike* the former Twelfth Lady). She’ll promise the world...and she’s a member of *two* victims groups (unlike both Osama *and* the former Twelfth Lady).

“The Supreme Court has headed in a very scary direction,” said Warren.

You bet it is, but not how she means it. Because the long-term trend is and has been for the court to uphold big gov't and gut the Constitution. Coming soon will be a 5-4 decision for gay marriage.

These libs expect to win them all. 95% is not good enough for them.

I'm going to guess that she never actually met someone who disagrees with her point of view more than "vaguely".

What with being a Harvard professor and all. Where would she meet such a person?

In the case of Elizabeth Warren one wonders how far she is willing to go in the destruction of her country’s long held values and morals in order to advance her own personal/political ambitions. She reminds me of the young Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov sitting in endless numbers of coffee shops - Starbuck’s? - discussing his ideas with other idealistic but irresponsible folks about the way mankind in its entirety should be ruled.

Sadly, this isn’t just a game being played, whether on a board or on a computer at home or interactively on the internet with others, but in reality, with the lives of real people in the balance. So, if Vladimir’s idea number 12, as expressed in his coffee shop discussion, results when put into practice by a real government holding authority of thousands and millions of people - real life! - in the death of a dozen or hundred or a thousand or tens of thousands, it’s just a game. It’s just an ideology being played out. So it is with Elizabeth Warren and those like her. Adolf played such games. So did Vladimir. So did Josef. So did Mao. And ordinary people payed the price, the high price, for their amusements.

Abortion is moral, as she presupposes. And her morality results in the death of thousands and tens of thousands. Life is cheapened; and governmental policy becomes ever more anti-human. But it becomes ever more anti-human in the cause of new rights for interest groups of ever more selfish people. And slowly the Brave New World is upon us; and there is no way to go back.
