Cochran camp tries to clear vote buying allegations

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Call it what you want , illegal activity or a political game; the fallout is the same as the blows are still coming in the Republican Senate race.

Pictures of text messages and an audio recording were posted on the new web site "Got News" Monday night. It alleges vote buying by Thad Cochran's campaign.

Stevie Fielder is the Meridian man at the center of the vote buying allegations against Thad Cochran's campaign. We tried several numbers listed for him and the church where the online story says he is a reverend. No one answered at any of the numbers.

When asked about Fielder, Robert Markham, one of the deacons at First Union Missionary Baptist Church, told us he is not an associate pastor there, and he would not do business with him.

But the communication director for Cochran's campaign says they did have a business deal with Fielder.

"Mr. Fielder was paid a small amount of money, $300 to reimbursements for his vehicles that he was using to transport get out the vote efforts," explained communications director Jordan Russell.

Fielder didn't get the other $300 because he stopped campaigning. So, he started calling Cochran's office, demanding money.

Yet another (fabricated?) version of the story.

If the contract called for two $300 payments, what was the list of names and envelopes for?

They were probably working on this when they had their little ‘private sit-down’. Trying to figure out some way to explain it away.

“illegal activity or political game”
Vote buying is definitely the former, and in all fifty-seven states.

This is not going to end well for Cochran, MS GOP officials and MS
politicians who supported Cochran.
The big Mo has turned in favor of investigating this scandal Big Time!

The bozos in the bottom tier banana republics wouldn’t even think about trying this idiocy. They know they’d get caught.

This will only get worse. The only question is, does anyone have the fortitude to stomach this, RATS or Rhinos included?

Who prepared the envelopes?

See, that’s a major mess up. Can’t say that’s GOTV money because it’s such a small amount. Envelopes. Names. That’s an ORGANIZED at the campaign level vote buying RICO-level criminal enterprise.

3,300 fraudulent votes have been found so far and the Delta counties and the 19,000 absentee ballots have not been researched yet.

GOP voter support for Cockroach is dropping like a stone. If he survives the election challenge, he will be tainted goods and will likely lose the November election.

Best course of action for all would be for Cochran to resign his seat effective January and allow McDaniel to be the GOP choice in November. But his hubris will likely not allow that.

I’m waiting for Cockroach’s Senate colleagues to start deserting him. When that happens, the handwriting is on the wall.

But zero has proven with Holder that ‘their people’ are bulletproof AND invisible.

So they continue what they did in Nov 2012. And 2008.

The liberals depend on the GOP more than they will let on, but I think they know it.

The GOP has typically kept them out of their worst follies, and so the liberals are not totally devoured by their follies.

They were miffed when the GOP wouldn’t “mend” Obamacare. So they have had to lean on Barack Obama’s Calvinball, which cannot last forever.

My home county had a vote jump of nearly 1000 out of a 4000 initial vote total.

80% of those ‘new’ votes went to Cochran.

Not sure if that county has been looked at or not.

Also, now that the GOP has gotten unmistakably pulled in, now the invisible is no longer so.

I say let us wait for the punch line of this joke to sink in. I think it will. Black people will sooner or later be saying about Mississippi, “Why, we let the GOP do WHAT to us?”

Naw, this just validates TEA, that the UNIPARTY must be obsoleted. Deleted. Defeated. Destroyed.

We must press this case to show the nation what we’re all about. Once we eat our own (GOPe traitors), we will be finally understood for the patriots we are.

These seasons of national disobedience have steeped everyone in the devil; take heed that the vengeance for which you hunger does not take you way, way beyond where you wanted it to go.

God, as always, builds the way out of an evil situation if invited. Up to you whether to look to Him or to ask the devil to do your work. I can only summarize the situation. I can’t make you do squat.

Jim, you may be being a bit unfair here.

Cochrane more than likely knows nothing of this alleged 'vote buying.' Of course, he also does not know what day it is, his dog's name, what state he represents, and what time he should take his pills.

This does not affect his performance as a Senator because he is still capable of signing things put before him by his staff, who in turn are told exactly what to do by Mitch McConnell's staff.

The commies swung the pendulum too hard and too fast, and it’s swinging back to us.... slowly.

The scales are falling from some of their eyes!
