Mark Owen, the author of the controversial No Easy Day, has released photos of his gun that was used in the mission that took out Bin Laden.
The former DEVGRU (Seal Team Six) operator posted photos of his gun and as easybakegunclub.com asks, What do you need to Pimp My Rifle?
How does $11,700 dollars sound?
Also, since a person cant get one of the H&K 416 with a 10" barrel, here's the civilian list:
- HK MR556A1, $3,295.00
- AAC Suppressor, $850
- Geissele trigger, $300
- Remington RAHG, $250
- Surefire Scout light, $290
- S&S Precision light mount, $170
- Magpul vert grip, $25
- Magpul stock, $100
- EOTech Optic - $450
- EOTech 3x magnifier, $450
- Advanced Target Pointer Illuminator Aiming Laser (ATPIAL), $5,130

I saw this article on the Easy Bake Gun Club site last week.
It kinda inspired me to make the plunge into building my first AR.

I sympathize. Privately owned ARs and AKs can easily become jealous and pester their humans for extra goodies. Indeed, they can become almost as bad a Great Danes who are allowed to sleep with their humans (Having a Dane I know.) BE afraid, very afraid when you join your pampered AR up with a large SUV. Terrible, unspeakable things can happen.

That gun is worth a lot more than 11 thou to the new Caliph.

EoTech would be about 7-800 for the NVG capable one. I cant see DEVGRU using non NVG optics.

I have gone backward on my M4’s. I took off all the ACOG’s and lasers. Makes it easier to quick fire when hunting hogs at night. I would like a suppressor though.

The 416 SSDI is not fond of common 5.56mm.

I showed the picture to Senator DiFi who was chairman of the intel committee when he was taken down and she said it doesn’t have a bayonet lug so it can’t be the real thing.

Those Sig "stabilizers" have got me wondering ...
Are there feeding or extraction issues to expect with a pistol with a 10.5" carbine length gas port barrel and a pistol buffer tube? Feeding it with SS109/M855 surplus. Anyone?

Ya I know. I have fired one extensively. They are not fond of std military 5.56. Combination of shorter barrel and the SSDI gas system. For the price they aren't worth it IMHO. They do however really like ammo not available to civilians. I have frankenguns that did better in long term abuse tests. http://www.army.mil/standto/archive_2013-10-29/
To: mad_as_he$$
Do they use different load or powder? They used to load H335 which is what I load.

I was told that that is a rude gesture...Flipping anything up is considered socially unacceptable...
But personally gratifying...;-)
