I guess Alex missed that whole "Swift Boat" episode, huh? I'm pretty sure that I'd be a better Secretary of State than either Mr. Kerry or Mrs. Clinton.

I guess George W. Bush will be the only person to ever be thought of as a draft dodger, for becoming a fighter pilot in the Air National Guard.

Has Kerry paid his taxes on his yacht yet?

Or is it still moored in Rhode Island?

Alex, Is it possible that John is in over his head? Could it be that so much of his career is like his military heroism? Fraud?

Kerry was in Vietnam? I wonder why he never mentioned it when he was running for president?

“his service in Vietnam”
That’s right. He did serve in Vietnam, didn’t he.
With Jenghis Khan?
They pillaged a village
and killed everyone,
Just like Attila the Hun.

Do you think Attila’s wives called him ‘Hun’?

Kerry will probably negotiate that the evil people only get to kill 2 million or so like in Vietnam where he clearly sided with the evil communists. The evil mass murdering Islamists sure seem to be killing innocents without consequence.

I admire his service in Vietnam...yeah? Read "Unfit for Command", endorsed by some 250 people who knew or served with Kerry - you'll feel differently.....

4 1/2 months in Vietnam and a manufactured war record—UNFIT FOR COMMAND.

Tangentially related: The Boston Herald is the needle in the Globe’s side. From the Herald comes Howie Carr, who has a column and a great 3 hour conservative radio show mostly in Boston. It’s very smart ... but also, because it’s Boston - equal in corruption to Chicago, with it’s own Obama in Patrick (”Yes We Can!” = “Hope and Change!”) - it can be very funny as well as smart - because Boston is an evil joke, whereas Chicago is just evil.

Howie subbed for Levin Yesterday. He was nervous (he’s sarcastic, but actually a very humble, good man.)

If you want a chance to listen to Howie doing a national show... Just go to Levin’s site and stream I think the Thursday Show.

Having painted for 4 years to pay for college in the late 80’s and early 90’s ... when the radio is all that gets you through the hot afternoons ... Howie was as responsible for fundamentally educating me as much or more than Rush, mostly because Boston (especially Cambridge) and its pseudo education institutions (other than MIT) and completely-psuedo intellectualism provide a perfect case study in the historical mess (and tragedy) which is man’s attempts at controlling (enslaving) the lives of other men.

As I said ... tangentially related. Always fun to read the complete gibberish coming out of the Globe, especially those that pass as editorial/opinion writers. What a group of fools.

Whaaaa? I mean John Kerry speaks French! He’s rich and refined! He ran for President for cripes sake. Nobody on the world front takes him seriously? What this world has come to.

Ex-Senator John F’ing Kerry is even more worthless as Secretary of State than Hillary(!) Clinton — if that is possible. The man is an absolutely, positively glittering jewel of colossal ignorance and arrogance. He is living proof of the Peter Principal in action: a man promoted from his level of competence to that of total incompetence. God help America because Kerry and his boss, Barry Obamination, will not.

I understand that JFK says he served in Vietnam. When he wasn't wetting his tidy whites, was he fighting with the Viet Cong or NVA Regulars?

I remember he was all about fully supporting the Vietnamese communists after he managed to pull strings in the Navy to get assigned out of the war zone before his tour was over. The validity of his three Purple Hearts are doubtful. He still refuses to sign a SF180 form that would allow public scrutiny of his military records. He and “Hanoi” Jane Fonda remain icons of the Viet Nam War as heroes of the American Left. For American who fought against the communist butchers of that war, John and Jane are first class traitors. Kerry should have been hauled before a court martial, tried, convicted, and executed.

I recall then Senator Kerry saying, “Nothing bad happened in Viet Nam after we left.”
