Last night, Russian border guards shot a group of 300 terrorists who tried to break into the Russian Federation from Donbas.
Putin, as always, plays on multiple fronts. For terrorists, such reprisals are a signal that there is no way back to Russia, and the mercenaries will have to fight to the end on Ukrainian soil.

Seems like something grisly is going on - these Russian “yutes” are excited and recruited to go to Ukraine and fight, then when they come to their senses and try to return home they are shot while recrossing the border by their own countrymen .. double-plus ungood!
If true, this is AWESOME. Russians killing Russians. That’s the best possible outcome.

Border guards guard borders. And that’s what they did.
No palaver about “electronic, virtual, cyber-fence”, blah, blah, blah.
This might not be NICE, but it means they’re serious about their border.
Could it be that Russia doesn’t want people sneaking into Russia? How do they know whether anyone sneaking in is pro Russia or wants to promote anti-Russian chaos in Russia?

No, it has nothing to do with people sneaking into Russia, because the Russian terrorists were attempting to openly retreat from the Ukraine and return to Russia. Putin has ordered the successors of Stalin’s Second World War era NKVD barrier troops to kill any Russian invaders of the Ukraine from attempting to retreat from the battles in the Ukraine. Putin hired these people to invade and conquer territories in the Ukraine, and he is insisting they must conquer the Ukrainians or be killed.

No, it is a combination of Putin sending his paid Russian mercenaries to invade the Ukraine and then killing any of them who would attempt to surrender or retreat, which also gives Putin the opportunity to disavow their actions with his disinformation and propaganda campaigns.
They’re getting paid $300/day to fight for Putin. I guess they decided it isn’t worth it anymore.

Putin has said he admires Stalin and Stalin’s methods. Putin is simply doing exactly the same thing as Stalin did with his NKVD barrier or blocking units in the Second World War. They simply shoot Russians trying to escape the battle.

One clue to look for when trying to filter out propaganda. The keyword terrorist instead of rebels is the clue.
