Mitt Romney's 2014 renaissance (Barf)

Mitt Romney is looking to keep his sterling endorsement streak alive as the 2014 campaign transitions from primary to general election season.

The former GOP presidential nominee has a perfect record after getting involved in a number of competitive Republican races this year. Now, with Senate control on the line and his party eager to add to their House majority, he’s turning his attention to helping many of those same candidates in tough fall battles.

Free from the pressures of daily life in the spotlight, Romney has undergone a latter-day renaissance, rebuilding his public image after a brutal 2012 campaign. Two years later, he’s being welcomed on the trail with open arms as one of his party’s most sought-after surrogates. Republican candidates and strategists salivate over his fundraising prowess and seem less and less worried about potential baggage from appearing with him.

“As an elder statesman in the party, he's able to endorse good, conservative candidates that can win. For too long the party has been without someone who can help the most conservative candidates who can win a primary and still win the general,” said Ryan Williams, a former Romney aide who is now working former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown, now running in New Hampshire.

Romney stumped with Brown on Wednesday in the Granite State, just the latest in a crowded schedule of campaign events. He’s already headed to more than a dozen states to help the GOP, from New York and California to Idaho and Michigan.

The former Massachusetts governor has endorsed 33 candidates this election cycle, including many facing competitive primaries. So far, not a single one has lost.

I have no countenance with a man who will not do battle for his ideals. He’s already proved this; there is no need to dress up a pig in perfume and makeup and call it Betty Grable.

In 1966 Richard Nixon toured the country, supporting moderate Republicans all over the place, just like Mitt is doing in 2014.

It was a good year for Republicans back then with Senate victories for Howard Baker in TN and Charles Percy in IL and set the stage for Nixon’s 1968 comeback and election victory.

Is Mitt Romney the new RIchard NixOn?

Maybe......

The left is trying to set up the best possible candidate from the “right” to win in case their chosen candidate (Clinton, Warren, Biden, Kerry) can’t win.

It happens every Presidential election.

Nixon did absorb Goldwater’s people into his organization to be sure, but his foreign policy of talking with Communists from Vietnam to China and the Soviet Union and cutting deals with I remember with disgust.

Nixon’s FCC shut down a radio preacher’s station on Fairness Doctrine grounds after he led marches for military victory in the Vietnam War.

The “opening up” of China is coming back to bite us.

There was nothing “conservative” about the EPA and OSHA which Nixon created with his signature.

Former Air Force Chief of Staff Curtis Lemay believes his targeting by the IRS during Nixon’s presidency was because he ran as George Wallace’s third party running mate in 1968.

When the former White House counsel for Nixon, Charles Colson, called the “hatchet man” of the administration went to jail over Watergate he wrote many letters of apology to those he wronged.

“In 1966 Richard Nixon toured the country, supporting moderate Republicans all over the place, just like Mitt is doing in 2014.”

That is EXACTLY what they’re doing and planning. For the historians among us, it’s clear as day.

Well, I didn't say that Nixon was severely conservative. I just said that Nixon was more conservative (and more honest) than Mitt Romney.

I know that's not saying much.

On the right Romney, an honest honorable man. On the left 0bama, a lying leftist poser. I leave it to you to decide which man deserves the ‘barf’.

Let give Nixon credit for the dignity that he brought to the office and also his willingness to resign the presidency instead of playing the victim card Bill Clinton chose to.

Romney imposed ROMNEYCARE and lied about it.
He tanked the Mass economy and lied about it.
He backstabbed EVERY conservative and lied about it.

What kind of ‘honest honorable man’ is that?

Not one of the three words apply.

"On the right Romney, an honest honorable man. "

Romney has a history of supporting abortion and queers. In the spring of 2012, he said that two people of the same sex "who love each other" (surging nausea) should be able to adopt children, thereby giving his personal stamp to queer child abuse.

How is he in any way honorable?

On the right Romney, an honest honorable man.

FALSE. Wrong. A lie.

Romney is an amoral male human (a man is a male human with courage and honor) who thinks minor-age girls who are pregnant and whose parents refuse consent for an abortion, have a right to have a judge override their parents. Romney is an amoral male human who thinks the government should be able to force adoption agencies to place children with homosexual "parents."

Romney is registered in the Republican party. He is also a lying leftist poser. That the Democrat party has equally leftist lying posers, is beside the point.
