>> If anything the Tea Party is purifying the party.

Whatever produces the best and quickest results.

This is what happens when the GOP vote splits

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections,_1912

Democrats got just 43% of the vote, and TWO THIRDS of the seats. Imagine what a democrat supermajorty would do today.

We can only hope that Democrats will shoot themselves in the feet worse than the GOP has.

That was the, and this is now. The party elites have all the money because the conservatives are the working class, not the moneyed one. The elites have the lobbyists in DC who give them big cash for big favors. They vote with them, not us. Who are we, anyway? We need to quit fooling ourselves.

We’re being trashed by everybody, the democrats, the GOP-e, the other so-called libertarian parties...who are basically not much more than glorified Marxists. Since Reagan, we’ve been told to stay at the back of the line so we don’t embarrass anybody, shut up and vote for their picks, etc. Personally, I’ve had it. They pull out all the tricks, rig elections just like the democrats, to make sure that if a conservative DOES win a primary, they sure as hell will not win the general election very often. Just how much abuse is a battered wife supposed to take...might be the real question. I’m feeling the abuse right now. I’m really pretty tired of it.

The GOPe forgets how the Republican party was born at its own peril.

In a way, a third party destruction of the current Republican party would be some karma coming back around.

The GOPe has become what the Republican party was born to fight and replace.

Funny how lessons just keep repeating themselves until you finally get it and here we've come full circle once again.

You’re operating from the faulty assumption that the GOP-e wants to defeat Democrats. They have proven that the ONLY defeat they care about is the one against conservative/TEA Party.

My assumption is that the establishment wants to stay in power. They do not give a democRAT’s ass about conservative, libertarian, green, wica or any ideology.

If more of them get defeated then they will start supporting conservatives. AFAIK all of the RINOs that are challenged in the primaries run to the right. I know that was the case with Juan McLame in Arizona against JD Hayworth in 2010. H*ll, McLame even claimed that he wanted to seal the border LOL.

Voters who buy these promises are idiots but then no one ever lost any money betting against the idiocy of the voters.
