The NRSC May Have Improperly Funded Third Party Ads in Mississippi
Red State ^ | 7/7/2014 | Eric Erickson

Posted on 07/07/2014 4:45:20 PM PDT by Hoodat

Serious allegations are cropping up against the National Republican Senatorial Committee. The NRSC paid an Alexandria, VA company $13,000.00 for media production and $69,000 for media on June 20, 2014. On the same day that same company placed media buys for “All Citizens of Mississippi,” a campaign group that has failed to file any documentation with the FEC other than its statement of organization.

Here’s the problem. No one can seem to find any evidence that any ads ran in Mississippi after June 20th paid for an authorized by the National Republican Senatorial Committee. In fact, Rick Shaftan, a political consultant, has searched for NRSC ads and cannot find them.

So did the NRSC fund the third party ads attacking the tea party? All the NRSC needs to do is document its advertising after June 20th. Thus far it has not only chosen to do so, but some of those close to the NRSC have reacted with hostility to the idea that the NRSC should disclose its advertising.

It’s clear that the NRSC paid for media on June 20th. Where did it go?

Into whose pockets did these NRSC cash disbursements go?

Inquiring minds want to know this information from the dirty, dirty, dirty and corrupt NRSC. Come on NRSC, cough up the information — we promise not to tell anyone.

And NRSC, how many bogus absentee ballots did you buy to vote for your K Street puppet Cochran?

It went to Democrats for the “under the table, walking around” money Thad needed.

That’s the part that gets me. There are people out there that out of desperation donate money to the NRSC in order to defeat Democrats and take control of the Senate in November. Yet the NRSC has taken those donations and used them to defeat Republicans in June.

$13,000 + $69,000 = $82,000 divided by $15 = 5466 votes for Cochran with 10 bucks left over

I am NOT an Erickson fan.

I don't know why that is, because you are in total agreement with Erick on this issue. At a GA State Senate runoff fundraiser in suburban Atlanta two weeks ago, Erickson stated "Our biggest problem is not with Democrats; our biggest problem is with some people with R's by their names. And a lot of those people used to have D's by their names, and they never really changed anything else." He is absolutely right!

I’ll never vote for another republican. Voting for ANY republican just encourages the bastards. And changin’ it from the inside ain’t gonna’ happen.

I don't doubt that Erickson said that. However, his actions do not always coincide with his words. If he practiced what he preaches, he would have been backing Karen Handel here in Georgia from the get-go. In fact, he would have been supporting her run for governor four years ago.

Erickson infuriated me back in the 2012 race. He would start talking up a candidate, and then when that candidate began to rise in the polls, he would cut their legs out from under them. But when he started talking up Noot Gingrich as a Conservative, I knew he was just another opportunist. (Of course a week later, he was bashing Noot like nobody's business)

I did not support Karen Handel, either, and I’m glad she didn’t make the runoff. Handel has no record of accomplishment in the private sector, and has succeeded in elective politics solely by running as The Woman in at-large races, never cutting her teeth in district representation. I believe we’ll be better off with Kingston than Handel in the Senate.

Yet Handel was a Republican back when Gerald Ford was President while the Nouveaux GOPers like Kingston were supporting Carter and Maddox.

Point taken. My choice has come down to Kingston’s voting record in the House, which is excellent. Not as good as Broun’s, but a solid track record compared with Handel and Perdue, neither of whom has any record at all. Hopefully Kingston will prove better than the faithless Saxby Chambliss turned out to be.

I suspect the $13k was the ‘middle-man’ fee and they kept that....with the rest going toward votes. You needed someone who is adept at doing this kind of stuff, without drawing attention, and knows the right people to connect with. Plus, correct me if I’m wrong....but all of this was taxable income...wasn’t it?

I’m sure your right about that, I doubt the “volunteers” would recruit the paid voters and distribute the money for free.
