Border Crisis: What Glenn Beck Did Wrong

Wednesday morning The Blaze's Glenn Beck announced it was "deadly to my career" for him to provide truckloads of meals and soccer balls as a way to "help care for some of the roughly 60,000 underage refugees who have crossed into America illegally in 2014."
Early Thursday morning on "Morning Joe," the left-wing Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski did exactly what I feared the media would do after Beck's announcement: they trashed conservatives who disagreed with Beck as lacking in compassion. Scarborough even mocked them as un-Christian. And they are not alone.
The problem isn't what Beck did. The problem is how he did it.
Beck's desire to help kids caught in a geopolitical crossfire through no fault of their own is laudable. We all want to help. I've yet to hear anyone argue that it's wrong to use American taxpayer dollars to feed, house, and offer medical care to these children. No one opposes that.
Beck thinks more needs to be done.
Fine.
But for Beck (and the media currently using him to club conservatives) to pretend there isn't a compassionate argument to be made against what Beck's doing is simply wrong, unfair, and a bit sanctimonious.
It's just a fact that these children are already being cared for once they arrive here. I'm not even sure they need Beck's charity. Regardless, the unthinkable danger for them occurs during the journey across a continent to get here. It's not just the natural elements these children have to worry about, I'm hearing on the news that fully one-third of young girls are sexually assaulted during the trip.

Those in the dependent black community have willingly been led to the slaughter by Jackson, Sharpton and the like. Now they will have to compete for their freebies with millions of central americans.... let the games begin.
Democrats are going to play blacks against illegals for the few worthwhile jobs that get people out of poverty...

Purposely creating a humanitarian crisis to take advantage of the compassion of your opponents is a sc*mbag move.
Its all smoke for whats really going on and who is really crossing that border....and its easy to see who is under the boot....ducking the stick or nibbling the carrot...
When Beck publicly adopts all 90,000 criminal invaders and makes a pledge to pay the cost
Of housing, feeding, educating and providing
Healthcare for them AND takes all responsibility for their criminal activities in the future I’ll give him cudos

Well said. Misplaced "compassion" is the stock in trade of the demented Left. It is the way they seek to manage their primitive hate and rage. Beck is so full of himself he does not realize how angry and dysfunctional he is. That is why he sometimes pulls creepy liberalesque stunts like this one.

I hope to God that people here stop piling on Glenn Beck. Glenn is a very good man who, very early on, helped alert all who would listen just what a demon Obama is. I think he made a huge, tragic mistake, but I hope that everyone at FR says a prayer for him. Glenn is a super talent, a very compassionate man, and we all need him.
And they are paying dearly for it - and so are we.

During the tense standoff, Beck urged BLM agents to open fire on Bundy supporters.
Beck’s faux-conservative news site The Blaze deceptively edited remarks made Bundy’s as part of a coordinated smear campaign to portray the feeble near-septuagenarian as a raving racist.
Now, Beck is teaming up with Harry Reid again– painting the hundreds of thousands of would-be welfare queens and MS-13 gangmembers storming America’s southern border as poor, harmless children– shameless, Goebbels-esque propaganda for which Beck has received high praise from MSNBC…
