Smoke Responsibly And Roll Coal The Right Way With These Truck Modification Options
dailycaller.com ^ | 7/10/2014 | Emma Colton

Conservative truck owners have a new way to rebel against environmentalists and the government’s obsession with carbon footprints: tricking-out diesel pickups with coal stacks that spew black smoke. Called “coal rollers,” these smoky renegades use their sweet chimney stacks to smoke-out hybrids by emitting black exhaust into the atmosphere.

Here at The Daily Caller, we are going to give you the basics on how to modify your pickup, so every hybrid driven by some guy in a pink Argyle sweater will know exactly where you stand.

Years ago when I was long hauling for a living, I used to see this one rig in Texas on dark nights that had at least two feet of flame coming out of both stacks. It was neat because you could tell it was him when he was still two miles away. I unrolled my window to listen to him go by and it sure sounded like a 6-71. I have no idea where he hauled out of or where to but I would generally see him between Midland and Abilene.

FYI, that wasn’t me driving, I just think it’s hilarious.

As to your question, I don’t care about winning people over, because most liberals won’t be won over until life beats them over the head. They are too far gone to be reached with reason, they will only learn the hard way. So, instead of wasting my time with that, I usually go with something they do still understand: ridicule.

It is all unburnt fuel. Total waste and doesn’t do anything for performance at low end.once the turbo finally winds up then you get some efficient power but not until you sustain high RPMs for quite a while. Until then all you are doing is melting pistons and turbos. I run near 500 hp with almost no smoke. I’ve seen trucks hit 140 in the quarter that hardly smoke more than mine. ‘06 Cummins 5.9= bad ass engine

Just to PO the epa and envirowackos.

The EPA will just start confiscating these vehicles. Count on it.

Or seizing their bank accounts if they fail to comply with the epa “laws”.

If I had been a bit smarter at the time, I should have opened the engine hatch and immediately covered the air intake.

“If I had been a bit smarter at the time, I should have opened the engine hatch and immediately covered the air intake.”

A guy in high skrool threw a Houston yellow pages phone book on a Detroit that was running away. He said it proceeded to shred it and blow it out the stack.

And you’re going to have a crystal ball to be sure the only people you annoy are liberals?

This is just immature.

Could it be stopped by running water into the intake?

Imagine, standing up for law makes you a liberal.

Wow.

One trawler I worked as crewman on for many years, had an injection pump problem.

It was a 4 stroke Caterpillar 343. The old straight six cylinder engines with the overhead cams...later superseded by 3408's for the most part.

That engine smoked for years. Even after cylinder head replacement, injector replacement, etc. Rebuilding those particular injection pumps takes special high pressure bench test equipment, which for a long while wasn't anywhere to be found local. So --- the owner just kept running it.

There a little while before the pump was finally removed and rebuilt, it was smoking bad enough that when we came into the harbor someone called the Coast Guard on the radio to report a boat on fire in the channel.

The Coast Guard (after looking out of their windows, I take it) replied, nah, that's just the Skagerrak. (the name of the boat).

We had a good laugh over that.

If someone gets pissed off at me finding something funny, I really couldn’t care less if they are liberal or republican. Nor do I care if they find my sense of humor immature.

Depends on what laws. Ask ozero and holder.

There are laws we must disobey due to divine dictate.

I doubt there is any Church of Rolling Coal, however.

One woman said that she floored her diesel truck to smoke out a couple bicycles. They took her license number and she was told to report for an emissions test.

Good. She deserved it.

Not for installing the smoke kit (that's kinda cool), but for abusing it.

Some people believe in being considerate even to liberals. Of course it’s that old fashioned Jesus ethic at play.
