The Barbour Machine’s Mississippi Ad War
National Review ^ | July 18, 2014 | Eliana Johnson

Even in the bitterly fought primary battle between Mississippi senator Thad Cochran and his challenger, state senator Chris McDaniel, some of the radio ads that aired against McDaniel were considered especially incendiary. One charged that a McDaniel victory would set back “race relationships between blacks and whites and other ethnic groups.” Another warned that his campaign was part of an attempt to “roll back the hand of time.”

The political-action committee that aired the ads raised eyebrows from the outset.

Do you not think that a Perot man would be better than a Democrat?

I live in Mississippi, I will NOT vote for a democrat, I will not vote for thad cochran. I will write in Chris McDaniel. The “write in” will count only as a No vote. I may not support ANY Republican in Mississippi for any office in the future that doesn’t repudiate the actions of the cochran campaign, the barbours and the NRSC. henry barbour should be booted from the Republican State and National Committee positions and Joe Nosef should be replaced as the Chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party as he appears to be a shill for the barbours and is doing nothing and has done nothing to unify the party since he’s held the position.

You’re right, this is on the shoulders of the rinos from Mississippi and Washington and they can’t be rewarded. Conservatives have to take a stand somewhere. It’s one thing to support the primary winning rino, as I’ve done for years, when they’ve won. It’s an entirely different situation when them stolen it and denigrated and crapped on their Conservative base and them expect them to fall in line so they can do it again.

ACE: There’s more in the article, including Barbour’s statement — essentially “You’re damn right I did and I’d do it again.”

If the events stay status quo I suspect many O'Hara will be the benefactor of many votes.
The thing that I've found in looking at MS vote totals for the last two senate elections
is that the general vote count about doubles the primary vote totals. Where all these
other voters come from I don't know except that lot of people don't vote in primaries.

Look at his expression in the article's photo. It screams "What'chyoo gonna do 'bout it, boy?"

The last time Cochran ran had Obama on the top of the ticket, which explains why each side came out IMO

OMG...

here we go again...

allow me to explain and provide math data...

if you vote for the pub, he wins, and you have a guilty consience..

if you vote for the rat, he wins, and you have a guilty consience..

if you vote independent, or third party, the rat or the pub may win, but your conseince is clear...

and the protest vote will be recognized and noted by both parties...

it does not get any clearer than that..

if you would vote for the rat instead of third party, then you are a closet socialist, period...

get the hell off of this site, and proceed directly to DU
