Congressman Optimistic Obama Will Grant Immigrants Legal Status

In a fiery speech at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Saturday, U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) said he was confident after meeting with President Obama last week that the president will move forward in the coming months with an executive order that would grant legal status to millions of immigrants in the country illegally, possibly including the parents of American-born children.
We sat down with the president... and we said to him, 'Mr. President, we want you to be as generous and broad and wise as the Republicans have been small and mean-spirited.'
Gutierrez, speaking on the first day of the annual conference of the National Council of La Raza, also took aim at Republicans for failing to pass immigration reform legislation and warned that there would be a political price to pay. He chastised the harsh rhetoric in conservative corners against a surge of tens of thousands of Central American youths who illegally crossed the Southwestern border in recent months fleeing violence in their home countries.

It’s already occurred. 70% have gotten amnesty. This issue is now dead. Congress plays no role and registers no protest.
Gutierrez envisions the day when America will become another Mexico or Honduras or El Salvador. He needs this “immigration” fiasco in order to get the votes into this country to pull it off.
I think both the House and Senate should go to a 120-day schedule per year and just go home entirely after 1 July. No necessity for them to operate. Pay them for part-time status and just let the President run the country.
This could be a good thing. Once Americans see their jobs going to illegals, there could be an uprising . . . Or maybe not ...
Most likely, the maybe not choice applies. Most Americans are in the BOHICA mode. They will not wake up till there is a full on economic crash. After that, all bets are off. What would the founding fathers be doing by now?
People generally try to project their own unresolved issues onto other situations in their life. This whole mess is merely immigrant Obama still trying to resolve his own illegal immigrant status.
There should be an uprising by WTP to kick all of these sorry butts out of DC. There should DEFINITELY BE AN UPRISING ...but it seems most of US have forgotten how it is done. That seems to have been outgrown during the 60’s Remember the day?
How many more “to do’s” remain for bow-boy to check? Will the list be completed by the end of his term?
That is the essence of what I recently told my congressman.
Modern congressional elections do little more than soothe the political soul. We dutifully vote every two years in the certainty that our reps and senators still craft laws for all. The reality is elections increasingly serve to condone high crimes.
After decades of never missing an election, I’m not sure I’ll participate much longer in the farcical American republic.
They have to either impeach this bastard or take all his money away.
Can we hold this “congressman” and his outfit, la raza, responsible for the upcoming untold numbers of deaths that are going to occur in this country due to rampant contagious diseases, acute medication shortages and most likely, an inability to meet seasonal demand for vaccinations. This years cold, flu and pneumonia seasons is shaping up to make last year look tame. Seems it’ll be a forgone conclusion that the invasion participants are going to get first dibs on flu and pneumonia shots.What always concerns me is the constant BS coming out of DC, especially when they tell you there’s nothing to worry about.
EVERY illegal “child” that has swarmed into the US in the past six months needs to be sent to Gutierrez’ district. It’s about time his constituents reap their reward for inflicting this bozo on the rest of us.
Congress is too busy counting their stuffed envelopes to care about things like what the American People think.

Why bother becoming “legal” if no one will kick you out? Becoming legal means paying taxes and sending your kids to school. They can vote without “becoming legal.” That gets them the free stuff. Isn’t it what this is all about?
