How to destroy the U.S., one step at a time
Boston Herald ^ | 7/21/14 | Holly Robichaud

One of our distinguished Massachusetts U.S. senators, Daniel Webster, once said, “There is no nation on earth powerful enough to accomplish our overthrow. Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government.”

While people are more concerned with the latest binge-worthy television show or the newest game on their iPad, are they missing the destruction of the United States?

How would you do it from within?

The first step would be to jeopardize the country’s financial stability. Increasing the national debt by $7 trillion is a good starting point, and letting the debt keep growing until it overtakes the country’s gross national product is the death knell.

1. Elect a non-American (or liberal) as president.

2. Re-elect him/her for a second term.

Cicero said the exact same thing about Rome. (which is probably where Webster got it)

Our internal enemy bears quite the resemblance to “Libertarian-Socialism” that was all the rage in the late 1800’s.

There is actually one show that I’ve found will HELP you pay attention to your government. When you watch “House of Cards” - you get a feel for exactly what goes on in Washington. And no good came come from it.

Frankly, she is correct. The only problem I have with her essay is that she mentioned something about a “distinguished Massachusetts Senator” In today's Lexicon (the lexicon of the "LIVING" and "recently living") there is NO SUCH THING! Massachusetts today bears no resemblance whatsoever with the 13 Colonies Massachusetts.

It's a distraction to point to fiscal improprieties as the culprit. That's just the symptom.

The undermining of the moral underpinnings of society is the root cause of every other destruction.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt?

OK, he wasn't a "liberal", technically. He was a fascist.

If God put hussein into office to place America under judgement, only God can remove him. Same with the she-devil if she gets elected, and the judgement of this country continues (which I expect), until this country is no more.

Sure is! Just look at the disgusting “teachings on tolerance” for gays / lesbians / trannies of all kinds. ugh. I don’t care what they do, but don’t tell me it’s normal. And our military - fire all the Generals and let’s put gays in there to fight for us. Right on. Our priorities are all upside down on purpose by this bunch.

Oh wait..... which of you didn’t vote for Romney or McJuan because they weren’t conservative enough? Next time, get off your high horse and make some phone calls to your senators and reps. Make some noise in local papers. Do your part to save this country. Romney would not be destroying this great nation the way zippy is.

Change is in degrees, but this last 6 1/2 years is full speed ahead.

At their very core they are much like Obama. McCain and Romney are both invade the world, invite the world Republicans.

They would very much be taking us down the same road, perhaps less as fast, but the destination is the same.

Doesn't matter. It is not anyone's fault but Romney and the GOPE that they lost that election, the blame is 1,000% on them. Blaming conservative voters because they refuse to vote for a lying leftist scumbag like Romney is stupid. Stop nominating the bags of dung and maybe they can win an election.

Uh, Romney was full on-board with sodomizing our military, and the Boy Scouts, that you just condemned in your previous paragraph. How would he have "saved" this country from that agenda?
