Hamas Prepared Attack That Would Bring Israel to Its Knees, Israeli Defense Officials Say
Algemeiner ^ | Friday, July 25, 2014 | Deborah Danan

Israel’s Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu revealed on Thursday that Hamas was intending to attack Israel from dozens of tunnels in a coordinated simultaneous attack. At the beginning of Thursday’s special cabinet meeting the prime minister said, “These tunnels enable the enemy to open a multi-pronged offensive and carry out a massive terror attack inside Israel.”

The attack Hamas was planning, the officials say, “would have made Israel drop to its knees.” They added that even the tunnels destroyed until now takes away from Hamas a strategic asset the terror group has been working on for years.

Hamas has prepared a veritable plan for ground warfare, after a few failed terror attacks and the realization that rockets are no match for Israel’s Iron Dome defense system. Preparations for a ‘boots-on-the-ground’ war started when Hamas realized it had nothing to lose, but the organization was not prepared for the IDF to start the ground incursion so soon and hoped to have convenient exit strategies.

IDF officials warned that the drop in the daily number of rockets fired at Israel do not indicate Hamas is running out. While it is true that Hamas’s reservoir of projectiles has been significantly depleted, taking into account the number of rockets fired and the number of rockets and launchers destroyed by the IDF, the smaller barrages are seen in the military as a calculation by Hamas that the war can take a whole month and therefore it would need to retain its rocket-launching capabilities to the very last day. According to estimates, Hamas had 9000 rockets at the beginning of Operation Protective Edge. It has fired around 2000 and some 3000 were destroyed by Israel. It therefore still has some 4000 rockets in storage.

Hamas must be eradicated.

They are like cockroaches. Every last one must be wiped out.

Most of them will be destroyed before the IDF pulls out.

Other reports indicate that this was to be an attack on multiple communities in southern Israel on Rosh HaShana, one of the holiest days of the Jewish calendar, when many, if not most, of the men in those communities would be praying in the synagogue. See http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3184908/posts for more insight.

This is exactly why Israel’s operation against Hamas has gotten Netanyahu popular support of about 85%, why the government continues to widen the operation, and why there is so much disgust with Kerry and Obama’s efforts to continue to protect Hamas, which they have funded with more than $1 billion since 2009 in flagrant violation of US law.

As a reminder, it is the US that twisted Israel’s arms to let Hamas receive 600 tons of concrete from Israel’s own Nesher Cement Company, which was used to build the tunnels at a cost estimated at approximately $1.25 billion.

I can see you still confuse both humanitarian aid or aid to the Palestinian Authority, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has lobbied and urged Congress to continue supporting (because Israel doesn’t want it’s soldiers administering the PA territories).

And I see you’re also confusing the “unity pact” which is nothing but a “paper document” for foreign consumption ... with Hamas ... when it is the Palestinian Authority” and Abbas who are fully in control of Judea and Samaria.

The problem you have is that you can’t see the details and distinguish what is going on. And you confuse criminals and criminal actions of terrorists with support that the USA is giving to Palestinians, versus the terror groups.

You ignore that Prime Minister Netanyahu has no problem with humanitarian aid for Palestinian civilians and he also wants support for the Palestinian Authority to continue so Israel won’t have to administer the territories.

What neither the USA or Israel wants is any money or arms to the terrorist organization and neither one of them is doing that.

Israel and the USA are against Hamas and supplying them in Gaza!

Israel singles out Qatar as key Hamas terror sponsor
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3184241/posts

http://www.timesofisrael.com/as-it-battles-hamas-israel-singles-out-its-sponsor-qatar/

Gulf emirate is branded the villain behind Hamas belligerence, with PM’s former security adviser saying it funds tunnel diggers and rocket launchers.

President Shimon Peres accused Qatar on Wednesday of becoming “the world’s largest funder of terror” due to its financial support for Hamas in Gaza.

“Qatar does not have the right to send money for rockets and tunnels which are fired at innocent civilians,” the outgoing statesman told UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in Jerusalem. “Their funding of terror must stop. If they want to build then they should, but they must not be allowed to destroy.”

Qatar’s recently attempted to transfer funds for the salaries of Hamas civil servants in Gaza, following the formation of a Palestinian unity government, but was blocked by the United States, which pressured the Arab Bank not to process them. But former national security adviser Maj. Gen. (res) Yaakov Amidror told The Times of Israel that the emirate’s funding for the organization’s terror apparatus, including tunnel diggers and rocket launchers, has continued unabated.

In Qatari-Backed Trip, UN ‘s Ban Ki-moon Laid Low by Israel’s Peres

Israeli President Shimon Peres on Wednesday told United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon that Israel would not stand by while Qatar, which paid for the UN official’s private flight to the Middle East, continued to finance Hamas militants, and took Ban to task for the two UN-run schools found to be housing Hamas rockets in Gaza.

In his last full day in office, Peres, a historically dovish leader, struck a defiant tone in a statement delivered to the media after meeting Ban at the President’s Residence, in Jerusalem.

“Qatar does not have the right to send money for rockets and tunnels which are fired at innocent civilians,” Peres said. “Their funding of terror the must stop.”

Newsweek‘s Benny Avni reported on Monday that the Qatari government paid for the UN Secretary General’s flight through the Middle East, where his first stop on Sunday was Doha, where he denounced Israel’s Operation Protective Edge’s battle in Shuja’iya, a border city that had been overrun by competing Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad fighters, and where rockets were hidden in mosques, hospitals, playgrounds and cemeteries connected by tunnels used to infiltrate the Israeli border and attack Kibbutz Nahal Oz a mile away.

US blocked Qatari funds intended for Hamas employee
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3180818/posts

http://www.timesofisrael.com/us-blocked-qatari-funds-intended-for-hamas-employees/

The United States has blocked the transfer of Qatari funds earmarked for the salaries of civil servants hired by Hamas in Gaza, The Times of Israel has learned.

A diplomatic source in the Gulf state, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Qatar had transferred hundreds of millions of dollars to Arab Bank for the salaries of some 44,000 Hamas civil servants. Those civil servants — employed by Hamas in Gaza since its takeover of the Strip in 2007 – were rendered jobless by the unity agreement with Fatah last month.

But the money was never processed by Arab Bank and delivered to Hamas, the source told The Times of Israel, due to pressure from the Americans, who consider Hamas a terror organization.

“This is strange, since funds from Qatar have never been blocked in the past,” the source said, referring to the $400 million aid package pledged by Qatari ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa during his visit to Gaza in October 2012.

Hamas’s deputy political bureau chief Moussa Abu Marzouk lambasted Arab Bank for neglecting to process the funds in comments posted on his Facebook page June 28.

If Israel is overrun, I am certain of two things: This administration won’t help the Israelis at all and the last Israeli standing will push a button that will turn much of the Middle East to glass.

Sadly, due to the Obama administratin, it is beyond credible dispute that the US is funding Hamas, in flagrant violation of US law. See Diogenesis’s post no. 2 above.

Star Traveler keeps spamming every thread about Hamas with his lies, but the truth has a way of emerging.

It’s a violation of US law to give money or arms to Hamas, but it NOT a violation of US law for the USA to give humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians, through an agency such as UNRWA. And note here that Israel does not have ANY PROBLEM AT ALL in passing through humanitarian aid through their checkpoints and into Gaza.

In fact, just a couple of days ago, the Israeli Ambassador spoke at the UN Human Rights Council and said that Israel is not against the residents of Gaza, but Israel is against Hamas.

One further point here is that both the USA and Israel have given money and aid to the Palestinian Authority and it is not against the law in the USA to do that (with the PA). Hamas is listed officially in the USA as a “Foreign Terrorist Organization” but the Palestinian Authority is not.

Yet you post over and over while
THIS has been the result of the rockets of Obama and the UN
