Over at BuzzFeed, reporter Max Seddon has the scoop on a 24-year-old soldier named Alexander Sotkin, who has been posting some very interesting photos of his military service, and the locations of the photos are rather telling.

This typical slip up in the new age of geotagging exposes a Russian soldier as being inside Ukraine. Surprised? No, but I am keen to read the brilliant Putinista apologists.

As one of the Rebels commanders said recenlty, “If the Russians had invaded we would be fighting in Kiev right now”

I’m sure the Putin apologists around here will come up with some rational explanation.

We have our own problems...let the Russians and Ukrainians play.

besides, I would not want a military run by this Marxist/Islamic regime to represent America in any more international situations. Just look at the current Israel situation.

I’ll bet it really sucks to be Alexander Sotkin right now.

With Instagram's geotagging feature, these two photos pulled the latitude and longitude from the GPS on his phone or tablet,

Isn't that interesting. No matter who you are.

As is often the case, you misunderstand and show yourself unworthy of claiming to be a conservative.

You can turn it off. The US Army tells their forces this all the time.

Yes, and the fact that all hell will come down on him doesn’t improve the idea that he was never there in the first place. Hey, let’s see if anyone can interview him.

We have our own problems...let the Russians and Ukrainians play.

"Business Insider" -- in spite of the name -- seems to have a distinctly liberal-left perspective. Is the left now banging the drums of war in an effort to salvage something for Obama's legacy? (Pretty much everything the guy has touched over the last 5 1/2 years has turned into complete poo.)

Whatever we might say about Napoleon and that German guy that had wars with Russia, history doesn't consider them wusses.

It's geotagging that they're referring to, if you actually care to know.
