Democrat: Stop “Whining” About Cancelled Insurance Plans Under Obamacare

The pro-life movement raised the alarm during the health care debate that adopting Obamacare would lead to rationing of health care in a way that could cost patients their very lives. Then, that started to happen more and more often.

Now, one Congressional Democrat has a response to Americans who lost their health insurance under Obamacare and Republicans who are speaking out on their behalf: quit “whining.”

House Dem: Stop ‘Whining’ About Cancelled Insurance Plans (YouTube)

From the Free Beacon:

Rep. Anna Eshoo (D., Calif.) said Republicans should stop “whining” about cancelled insurance plans due to Obamacare Wednesday during a hearing to debate a proposal by Rep. Bill Cassidy (R., La.) authorizing health insurance insurers to continue offering current group health insurance coverages.

“Your plan is whining,” Eshoo said at the House Energy and Commerce Committee. “Your plan is suing the president and using taxpayer dollars. Now come on. We’re passing some good legislation out of the committee today, and this committee is too important to be taking up what the whiners did on Saturday Night Live years ago.”

Eshoo called Cassidy’s proposal a “lousy plan,” asking melodramatically “what century do you want to go back to.” She then remarked that Obamacare was not “perfect,” not mentioning that President Obama had falsely promised dozens of times that anyone who liked their current health care plan would keep it under the law.

“What you have on the table here is part of the past,” she said. “I don’t think the American people are with you on this at all. I really don’t. Is the ACA perfect? Of course not. No legislation is, because it’s the product of human beings.”

Per the National Review, Republicans shot back:

Representative Cory Gardner (R., Colo.), who is challenging Senator Mark Udall in the 2014 midterms, reminded Eshoo that “335,000 Coloradans had their health insurance plans cancelled thanks to Obamacare” even though President Obama had promised that people could keep their plans if they liked them.

“They’re not whiners,” Gardner said. “They’re not some whiners on Saturday Night Live.”

Cassidy, who is also challenging a vulnerable Democratic Senator, Mary Landrieu, accused Eshoo of “smirking in Congress” while calling people who lost their plans whiners.

However, this one is built upon one lie on top of another and people are dying because of it.

And stop whining about being lied to, too!

Ubama's Remarks at the American Medical Association, June 15, 2009: "I know that there are millions of Americans who are content with their health care coverage — they like their plan and, most importantly, they value their relationship with their doctor. They trust you. And that means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what."

Hey Anna, Prove you and your ilk are human beings

A party of compassion? Far from it, a party of partial birth, photoops and lies.

“They’re not whiners,” Gardner said. “They’re not some whiners on Saturday Night Live.”

She’s taking the high intellectual ground.

She’s right. This isn’t a time for whining, it’s a time for action.

This is what the voters in California put into office. I’d sooner cut off my right arm then see a single state not be part of the great “United States’’. However in California’s case I could make an exception.

And meanwhile, dear leader is grinning smugly at the massive con game he pulled off.

I hope the people who supported the Enabling Act are ready for when it comes time to pay the piper.

I would love to see some action. When is that scheduled to start? I'm pretty sure the jury box has failed and this democrat demonstrates once again that the ballot box has, once again, failed. How many boxes are left?

The expected comment from the exempt “privileged” class of assholes.

It is time. For the Constitution; for the Republic.
