Failures in management led to ObamaCare website woes, investigation finds

A failure of management by the Obama administration led to the disastrous rollout of the ObamaCare website and caused the government to incur tens of millions in additional costs, according to a congressional watchdog report released Wednesday.

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) concluded after a months-long investigation into the rocky rollout of Healthcare.gov that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ failure to establish “effective planning or oversight practices” was to blame for website’s myriad problems after it was launched.

Among the issues, investigators found that the administration kept changing the contractors' marching orders for the HealthCare.gov website, creating widespread confusion and adding tens of millions of dollars in costs. Changes were ordered seemingly willy-nilly, including 40 times when government officials did not have the initial authority to incur additional costs.

As a result, the government has spent $840 million on Healthcare.gov and its supporting systems, according to the report.

The arrogance and overconfidence of his tyranny didn’t lead to ‘failure;’ it started with the very premise of ‘failure’. It was never intended to work.

Another investigation WITHOUT a single INDICTMENT being issued.

We've had a bizillion investigations into a half dozen serious scandals yet NOT ONE PERSON has been charged with any wrongdoing.

Wash D.C.'s version of Kabuki theater plays on.

Along with a healthy dose of good old fashioned graft.

Frankly, I don’t think any of these are ‘failures of management’... I think they are all intentional.

Yes. It is.

I had a very long talk with my sister last night. Two years older than me (I’m nearing 65). We both ended up with the resolution that we probably are in the end times - this trouble with Israel and the Islamists is just frightening, especially with Imam Obama so insistent on hamstringing Israel. Couple this with his unceasing efforts to escalate this country’s conversion to third world immigrant influence, and there really isn’t any hopeful prospect.

Many of us here knew of this problem a year ago. It was obvious as hell, despite nobama's best efforts to hide it.

NO study needed. Although I am glad it's being publicized, not that the publicity will do any good.

Once incompetent, always incompetent. nobama's leading the parade with his czars right behind him.

The corruption runs deep.
