The Obama administration has notified Congress of its plans to train and arm the Ukrainian national guard next year, the Pentagon said on Friday, as Washington continues to intensify its response to Moscow's support for rebels in eastern Ukraine.
"The Defense Department and State Department have notified Congress of our intent to use $19 million in global security contingency fund authority to train and equip four companies and one tactical headquarters of the Ukrainian national guard as part of their efforts to build their capacity for internal defense," Pentagon spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby told reporters.
The training, which requires congressional approval, would occur at a location within Ukraine that hosts multilateral exercises, Kirby said. The trainers would be provided by U.S. Army Europe and by the California National Guard, he added

Like I told ya, what could go wrong when we send our troops to train and arm foreign troops in foreign lands, in other foreign countries who happen to be at war? It's perfectly safe and nothing could possibly escalate and tumble down range out of control.

Sorry I don’t share your deep concern and support for sending US troops to assist and protect the borders of other countries. That’s what this is really about no?
My concern right now is for the U.S., it’s escalating corrupt controlling government, it’s reckless country killing spending habits, our borders, our safety, our security and our economy right here.

They are not going to be stationed on anybody’s border — they are just training those that will.
We’ve been doing that for 30 years in country after country — even for the Palestinian Authority and Hamas.

The issue with illegal immigrants is not due to the lack of training of US border guard. It is due to lack of political will. Helping Ukrainian national guard with training is not going to take away from the already existing ability US forces have to guard their border if only the orders would be given.
