Operation Change The Subject - While world falls apart, Dems obsess over Limbaugh and impeachment

What’s really important in today’s troubled world?

One might think the answers are obvious: the disturbing war between Hamas and Israel that threatens to spread into something much larger, out-of-control spread of Ebola in Africa, corporate and sovereign defaults in Portugal and Argentina, Chinese military aggression in South Asia and whatever else we may have left out.

But to Democrats, the focus is on Operation Change The Subject 2014, as partisans shift blame for presidential inaction away from Obama just as he heads to Martha’s Vineyard for yet another extended holiday.

I’ve been ridiculously busy these last few months. Today I clicked onto the drudge report briefing through the headlines, good lord the world is absolutely coming apart at the seams. I had to stop reading before settling into a major depression.

Count down before a demented progressive calls for Limbaugh to be impeached (Sheila Jackson-Lee comes to mind). She can’t remember going after Bush so she has the brains to try this.

There’s a certain point at which pivoting starts looking more like pirouetting.

I rarely read news that isn’t local for that very reason; it has a lot more bearing on my daily life (road closings, weather, etc.). I vote in every election, and follow the issues as elections near, but frankly Drudge engages in the same sensationalism as any other media outlet.

Most international “news” today is just to divert attention from domestic problems; these events half a world away will have little or no impact on us, and there is little we can do about them anyway (if we can’t save our country, what do you think we can accomplish for another one?).

I remember a while back, a co-worker well past retirement age, who can’t sell her home due to the housing market and can’t retire because of the taxes on said home, was all worked up about some situation happening on the other side of the globe. On domestic issues she was completely ignorant and disinterested, and yet she could get worked up about that; crazy...

Rep Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) has blamed “peanut M&Ms and Coke” for her onetime bout with cancer

The "coke" in her case was not a beverage....it went up her nose.

It is believed that someone told her cocaine could cure ugly. She needed to double up on the dosage to keep from becoming fatally ugly (like what happened to Arafat).

Impeachment — cover it.

Illegal recruitment and transportation of illegals — cover impeachment.

Thanks BlopAndStop.
