Is an African Lion Roaming Streets of California?

Security video shows a mysterious animal that the California Department of Fish and Wildlife says is "no mountain lion."

The video is too grainy to be sure, but from the size of the head and the apparent tufted tail, it certainly looks like it could be a “real” lion, a female one.

I think that's a typo. I believe they mean an African liar was spotted roaming the streets of California, probably looking for a fundraiser.

The gait and the way it holds it’s tail says it’s definitely a large cat of some kind. I agree, the head is shaped like a lioness.

It looks like a tan Jaguar. It’s tail is really short for an African lion. Jaguars have been sighted in the southwest again recently.

The 1st pic is the lion, or whatever it is, caught on video in Calf. The 2nd is a female African Lion.
