Officers with the Richmond Heights Police Department responded to the St. Louis Galleria Monday evening. The Galleria has closed.
It's unclear why they're responding, other than a report of "multiple incidents" inside the mall. Brentwood Police also responded.
Several stores were evacuated shortly after 6:00. Nordstrom and Macy's have closed their gates and confirm a lockdown.
Sources tell News 4 multiple groups of people were in the mall fighting. Galleria security called police and the mall began evacuating customers.
Richmond Heights officials say that while there is a large police presence at the scene, no ambulances have responded.
News 4 has crews on the way to the scene and will provide more information as it becomes available.

The Galleria has a bus stop outside it, so this was inevitable.
I’ll bet U-Haul, Penske, Budget and PODS are going to be super busy there the rest of this year.

They are just children in mourning who act out their remorse by stealing sneakers, clothes, and electronics. Don’t we all understand it takes a little looting, burning and killing to get over the loss of a brother? Its the polices fault they act that way.
