A new report reveals that US President Barack Obama's administration stopped a shipment of missiles to Israel late last month and tightened weapons shipment procedures to Israel, as tensions between the two nations grow amid Operation Protective Edge.
The report in the Wall Street Journal, released Wednesday night, cites US officials in Obama's administration, who say they discovered Israel had requested a large number of Hellfire missiles directly through military-to-military channels. An initial batch of the missiles was about to be shipped, according to sources in Israel and the US Congress.
At that point, the Pentagon stepped in and put the transfer on hold. Further, top White House officials instructed various US military agencies to consult with the US State Department before approving any additional requests from Israel.
A senior Obama administration official was quoted in the report as saying the transfer shouldn't have been a routine "check-the-box approval," given Israel's defensive operation in Gaza against Hamas, which is recognized as a terrorist organization by the US.

Thank goodness Israel won’t have those missiles to protect itself. Just think how bad that would have been, preventing Israeli deaths! Thank heaven Barack Obama was there to work on behalf of the poor victims of Israeli lop-sided violence.

One of the first things he did when he came to office was to give the Palestinians a big fat check. Maybe it was because of all the calling they did to wrestle up funds for his campaign, maybe because he wanted to lay his marker down right away.
He left President cooling his heels, while he ate dinner. Any time he can snub Israel, he will and leave them in the lurch if he can.
In a way, he wants to do the opposite of GWB.

We also have a defense treaty with the Ukraine to protect them from Russia that Obama is ignoring.

BTW, Isreal makes darn fine military hardware.
One of the unstated reasons we supply things like Hellfires to Isreal is to keep them from developing their own versions which could be better than ours and then selling them to the rest of the world.

It may be a good idea for Israel to develop their own, as I would consider the US as an unreliable supplier under the leadership of a misguided human being and (m)uslim sympathizer.

If Israel is attacked from several sides, likely, she would run out of military supplies.

I thought the same thing. I fear for America even more than I already do when we become Israel’s enemy. Russia doesn’t love muslims like Obama does.
Two responses are required:
1. The story is completely believable despite the anonymity of the sources.
2. When the House reconvenes immediately pass the Terrorist Destruction and Middle-East Peace Act forcing the Admin to send these missiles.
Beat up every vulnerable Dem in the Senate using the above.
