Tea party ruled the roost on immigration

The Republican Party's immigration agenda on Capitol Hill is driven by its tea party wing, The New York Times reported.

House Speaker John Boehner had sought to marginalize Republicans who oppose any form of legal status for immigrants in the United States illegally. The party establishment spent millions of dollars to defeat tea party candidates in the primaries.

In the end, the party's most passionate opponents of immigration reform were instrumental in shaping legislation that passed the House before the summer break.

The conservative group includes Reps. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, Steve King of Iowa, Raúl Labrador of Idaho, Louie Gohmert of Texas, and Mo Brooks of Alabama, according to the Times. Labrador, formerly an immigration lawyer, has expertise in the field.

"This was one of the most remarkable experiences I've had in my eight years in Congress," Bachmann said, according to the Times. "We were able to achieve unity across the conference in what is likely to be the most consequential issue of this time: immigration."

"Those of us who believed in border security were, by and large, cast aside," said Brooks. "Funny how things can change real quickly when the only way you can pass legislation is to amend it our way."

The tea party group wanted language raising the bar on granting asylum hearings to unaccompanied children who had arrived illegally at the border and to phase out a presidential executive order that granted legal status to certain migrants who had arrived in the country illegally with their parents.

Democrats and moderate Republicans say the tea party's uncompromising influence on immigration is regrettable.

Labrador remains adamant. "Before now, our leadership was looking at what can pass in the Senate. That's not my concern. I want the most conservative piece of legislation that can pass the House."

This can’t be true.

In the past few months we have been deluged by articles in the fishwraps and faux news shows on ABCNNBCBS about how the tea party is dying or is dead.

The Republican Party's immigration agenda on Capitol Hill is driven by its tea party wing

And the Tea Party's immigration agenda is driven by the US Constitution, existing law and patriotism.

Not by the US Chamber of Commerce, democrats, RINOs and others who think they will profit in some way
from open borders, uncontrolled immigration and amnesty.

It's not the power of the Tea Party, it's the power of the people. 70% of the people wants the borders secured and illegal immigration ended. Apparently, only the Tea Party folks are standing up in Washington to represent the views of the People, the Law and the Constitution.

Those evil, bigotted, racist right-wingers are forcing their right-wing agenda on the moderate, sensible, mainstream Republican Party. The Democrats used to be able to subvert, er, work with the Republicans before the rigid, extremist Tea Party showed up filled with hate for OUR historic, first Black President.

Hey, I could write for the MSM, I know all the memes. It'll be easy.

That’s why I search for and post these stories. So we can see the undercurrents. When well known incumbents are “winning” elections against unknown incumbents with margins of 50% or lower, they know their days are numbered.

I expect to see a number of retirements in the next election cycle.

The conservative group instrumental in shaping broad pro-America border legislation that passed the House included Cong Louie Gohmert of Texas.....

IMHO, Gohmert should be on the USSC. Gohmert's cirumlocution is awesome. Example: At the recent House Judiciary hearing on immigration, Cong Gohmert had this eye-opening exchange with the Obama appointee rubber-stamping illegals into the US from 144 countries:

GOHMERT: WRT drug cartels paid $6000 each to "guide" the hordes over the border---"Would you, as a former prosecutor, call them criminals?" Gohmert nonchalantly asked Obama appointee, Leon Rodriguez--now heading USCIS--- a DHS agency.

The smirking Rodriguez stepped headlong into the trap as Cong Gohmert casually hoisted him on his own petard.....making the point that if the hordes were coming here to escape drug cartels, why is it they are consorting w/ the nasty criminals, and are paying the violent breed to accompany them over the border?

Definitely not the behavior of someone in mortal fear, "forced" to escape to the US for protection. More likely, the swarm is in collusion w/ the cartels. Better check those backpacks.

===============================================================

USCIS rubber-stamper Leon Rodriguez, a recent Obama appointee, oversees the legitimization of the border swarm. Moreover, Rodriguez administers EB-5 visas as head of USCIS (A DHS agency).....EB-5's are said to involve major threats to US national security.

===============================================

BACKSTORY In an earlier statement----citing a Homeland Security Investigations memo----Sen Charles Grassley said the oversight federal agency ICE identified key vulnerabilities in EB-5 visas:

1) Export of sensitive technology/economic espionage.

2) Use by foreign government agents/espionage.

3) Use by terrorists.

4) Investment fraud by regional center.

5) Investment fraud by investors.

6) Fraud conspiracies by investors and regional center.

7) Illicit finance/money laundering.

==================================================

Rodriguez's confirmation hearings revealed he was a board member of Casa Maryland---a latino-centric advocacy group---pushing for unlimited immigration, and has connections to nationwide immigrant groups.

ACTION--CONTACT FBI TIPS PAGE WEB SITE---YOU MAY REMAIN ANONYMOUS---https://tips.fbi.gov

<><> Taxpayers demand Rodriguez, USCIS, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, La Raza, and other tax-funded latino groups, be investigated. Supboena official filings, phone records, emails, snail mail copies, hard drives, bank accounts, checking accounts, credit cards, debit cards, wire transfers, social media contacts, and the like.

<><> Taxpayers demand to know if govt factotums like Rodriguez, and the aforementioned tax-funded groups, are consorting with violent organizations advocating the overthrow of the US govt.

<><> TAXPAYERS demand to know who these people are communicating with, and who is directing their activities.

Thanks for the posts. I get sick going to those sites.

“I expect to see a number of retirements in the next election cycle.”

Maybe some retired NSA nerds and conservative Google types can find out how many of the Rats have off shore accounts loaded with bribe money. Then they can give the Rats 2 days to resign for to be with their families.

After the rats resign, the hackers can hack their off shore accounts and use those $’s to help pay off the national debt.

“It’s not the power of the Tea Party, it’s the power of the people.”

It’s very telling that this article doesn’t even consider the desires of the majority of American voters. It’s all a matter of one faction versus another faction.

There is nothing representative about our current form of government.

PATRIOTS ALERT-- PASS IT ON-- Dummycrats publicly admit they are the imbeciles catering to the hordes at the border. Go for it---Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, blogs---this needs to go viral.

============================================

TALKING POINTS---all the polls show voters leaning Repub
b/c of their strong stance against amnesty....FAR above all other issues.

PASS THE WORD--Dummycrats are opposed to a pro-America border
bill----w/ provisions Obama claimed he, himself, wanted in US law.

Good news, if true.

Now lets marginalize that turtle of a senate minority leader next November.

Fortunately, Boehner is as inept at dealing with true conservatives as he is blocking the Obama agenda.

The American People have fried the phone lines to Congress multiple times since 2006 or 07, when the Bush Administration attempted to push “comprehensive immigration reform” through. Even with a Republican President, Congress (including Democrats) did not want its fingerprints on fake immigration reform, ie real amnesty to reward lawbreakers.
